turbo installers...
Hey, I managed to get the full twin turbo kit together that i wanted, and i came to the conclusion that I just cant do it myself, so id like to take it to a shop and have them finish it. the only problem is im having trouble finding one...I know a local mechanical shop probably cant do it and that id have to take it to a special shop, does anyone have any ideas as to where i could go...
also, i live in central nj so if anyone knows any places within like a 1 hour drive from Newark that would be freaking awesome!

basically ive put the headers in, than mounted the turbos, all the llittle plugs and hoses and stuff i just cant get, it doesnt have a manual with the kit... I cant really even drive the car because when i start it up it sounds like a damn rocket and the turbos dont seem to work yet either

The easiest thing to do would be to search through this forum and here: http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php to figure out what you need to know, or ask specific questions so people could help you. Also, if you have a digital camera, it would be helpful to post pics of what you are trying to do. I doubt you are going to find someone who will install everything for you. The next best thing is to get help online.

alright ill take a look into that.... this is the first time im dealing with a turbo charger and dont know it very well... in all seriousness, can you just give me a rundown of how it works... i know the exhaust gases come out the headers... they propel the turbo, which(in this case) run down to the intercooler. Then from the intercooler they are fed up to the carb/tpi bonnet. The other part of the turbo, the other outlet, is used to vent the exhaust out the back of the car... do i seem to have this correct?

idk im actually thinking about scrapping the project, my friend has an 83? iroc, and he really wants the turbo kit but cant afford it... i'd like to work on the motor some more, i really should have read more about what to do BEFORE installing the turbo, like actually doing some work to the engine...

dont sell it!!! finish the project.. hearing the turbos spool up and then taking off like a rocket is a rush!!! boost is the replacement for displacement (unless you have both

in all honesty how hard is it to hook up the wastegate and the blow off valve, and all the little hoses and crap, thats the main thing that is worrying me... the piping might get a little difficult towards the end cuz space would become an issue, but i can work that out...

The blowoff valve is fairly easy to mount. Just find a place in your tubing between your intercooler and bonnet and weld in a bung, or however it mounts. You then connect the valve to a vacuum source.
I'm assuming you'll be running 2 wastegates since you're twin turbo, so for those you'll just find a place in the exhaust after the manifolds, and weld a piece of tubing in the exhaust and run that to the wastegate. Then, after the wastegate, you can either vent the exhaust to atmosphere or run tubing into the downpipe after the turbo. You want to connect the wastegate to a boost source, usually the bonnet.

if you want something cheap.. buy SSAutochrome turbo headers for a 3rd gen. fab up a bracket that supports the weight of the turbos that way the headers dont have to. inspect the headers to make sure the welds look good.. if so, bolt it up and get to work.

BOV goes on the intake close to the throttle body and has a vacumn line going to the intake after the throttle body.
Wastegate is either mounted on the exhaust manifold or on the turbo. You need a vacumn line going from the pressure side before the intercooler.
www.howstuffworks.com is a great place to learn the basics.
Assuming you dont have a coolant cooled turbo, you will have two lines. Oil feed and oil return. The oil pressure is pumped into the turbo. Duh. The oil return is more gravity fed back into the oil pan above the oil level. The turbo cannot be rotated more than 45* or the drain will not work well.

VWDave is right, don't let it intimidate you. I just went to howstuffworks and searched under "turbo" and they have a ton of info. You just need to do a little more reading before diving into this.
