mounting micro switch under pedal
Anyone mount the micro switch under the gas pedal somehow to hide it? Id like to conseal my setup and hiding the the rest of the stuff is easy but the micro switch needs to be either on the TB or somewhere where the throttle cable is connected too and I was thinking making somewhere behind the pedal. Anyone got pics

Re: mounting micro switch under pedal
I imagine it could be done, i see you want to conceal it. A little fab work sounds like you will have what you want, just give it a try and post us some pics if you get something figured out.

i've seen WOT switches that use the TPS voltage since you're running efi. Check out nitrous dave and he might be able to point you in the right direction.

I have heard of those before but never really looked into them. I may concider it now. How exactly are these things setup? Do they just wire inline in to the wiring for the TPS sensor? Id like to run that and then just 1 single wet nozzle to hide the system. Thenitrous will be wired into my FAST EFI computer as well

Re: mounting micro switch under pedal
I have the Zex tps switch in my car and it works great. Also I have heard of alot of drive by wire throttle body guys putting the micro switch under the gas peddle.

Re: mounting micro switch under pedal
well I dont have a problem using either method, I just want a reliable setup that doesnt need to much attention. Oviously, the micro is a lot cheaper and comes standard in most kits but how much "better" is the TPS kit? Convince me to buy it

Just take a regular miroc switch and make a bracket you can mout it on. and a little tab on the pedal to hit it. etc.. Shouldnt take much at all.
Think of how your clutch switch works. You push the pedal in and it pushes the neutral safty switch in. Make something just like that for your micro switch.

Yep a little bracket to suspend the switch can work. Or as some systems used years ago, a switch with a short chain on it, attached to the top of the pedal. Adjustment is a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

Chris that is so weird that you mentioned that. I was thinking of that the other day. I just happen to look inside my junk draw in my toolbox where I keep a lot of electrical connectors and sensors and stuff and seen a neutral start safety switch in there that I had pulled off my car thinking it was the problem for my car not starting. well it wasnt and now I have a spare switch that I will somehow figure out a way to mount under the arm for the gas pedal. If I get it working I will post a pic. Thanks for the reply.

Should work great. One option for making it adjustabe.
offset it to the side of the pedal a little. Weld a bolt to the side of the pedal shaft. This way you can fine tune it with a long bolt and thread it iin or out to make your adjustments. Just double nut it to lock it in place. (use a dab of loctite also)
