I mean a tune, injectors, turbo, and the rest of the car stock, can this be done on real street tires and 94 pump gas

Re: stock"ish" TPI 5.7 + right turbo =12.00s???

Absolutely. I believe TurboedTPI has a forged piston/otherwise stock L98 (maybe lower compression than stock though?) with aluminum L98 heads and a BBS turbo system going much faster than 12.0's. You'd want supporting mods such as an upgraded fuel system and a torque converter, but I don't see why it couldn't be done.

well i hit 12.90's n/a with bolt ons L98. I'm sure a turbo would EASILY push me another 100hp and get 12.00's. It be like a 100 hp nitrous shot

I have been thinking about doing this exact set up.

With the parts you listed........yes. Even with a "wrong"-ish turbo you could be in the 12s.

I'm pretty sure '89JYturbo(or something similar) has just about that exact setup, I think he ran lower 12's at about 120mph, that was with a manual transmission and low profile street tires.

Re: stock"ish" TPI 5.7 + right turbo =12.00s???

Should be NO problem.... Tuning is going to be the most crital part. Go aftermaret with FAST or Accell ect. Save your self alot of headaches with learning ECM hacking... If you've got time and alot of tuning experience it's ok but stand alone is much better and quicker for boosted engines.

If I can run low 10's on 93octane fuel with a V6 you can do it with 2 more cyl for sure!
