Re: its finished.

No dyno yet, need to do some fuel upgrades to take full use of the engine, I estimate anywhere from 600-800 rwhp
if you have the correct player, you can see an idling video here

Re: its finished.

One question from the peanut gallery here - how do you mate the carb hat to the carb? I'm just seeing the stud coming out of the carb, and the wingnut - but how do you get a good airtight seal there? Snug fit around the stud, and an o-ring or something?
Wow, you're really hoping for a lot of HP! Best of luck to you!

Re: its finished.

Congrats!

It doesnt look like it should fit in there, do you have any pix from further back?

the hat has the o-ring provision, remember a proform carb has a smooth mating surface already for the o-ring to seal. The hole for the stud has a washer and is cut out slightly, that requires no gasket, etc.

No worries, neither is mine.

Im just curious to see it from afar. By the looks of it, it was a tight fit, and you did a flawless job.

Re: its finished.

the hardest part was running an intake elbow to the blower for my air filter, and my brake lines being in the way, im still working that out, as you can see from the pic, no master cylinder to be seen.

Re: its finished.

They make mini-master cylinders that will bolt up, but you'll most likely have to re-make / bend new hard lines.

Ha, I'm in the same boat, half my car is faded. The back looks like someone painted it in the rain. People come over to check it out, and like eh? Then I pop the hood. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuddee.
