schwartz performance has come up with tt cast log manifolds for 1st gen v8's. question is will it fit under the hood ( 4in cowl) of a 3rd gen? Anyone?

didn't somebody copy banks turbo log a few years back for half the $. also i see bbs tt kit for $1495.00 . but is it not just two welded up thin wall (header tubing) logs? nothing else included,right?

tell me about it. and what are the alternatives? a set of headers from nelsons are going for what $3000.00+? theirs a somebody on ebay selling the origianal banks 3rd gen tt setup right now. top bid is $3050.00 FOR $15,000.00 worth parts in 1986 dollars. the only problem is i'm about $1500.00 short or i'm all over it.

What would be the power difference in a log vs an actual header?

 

i couldn't say for sure. but i did just watch a video of a bankstt motor make 1100hp at 7000 rpm and they use logs. i guess its a ? of how much is good enough?
