I don't N2O what's wrong
I made a couple passes at the track today and the first pass n2o system working great . The bottle pressure was a little high (1100 psi) . the second run the bottle pressure was 925 psi . The car ran great got back into the pit area opened the hood and the n2o line coming off of the nitrous regulator going to my fuel pressor regulator(to increase fuel pressure during n2o use) and line to intake was frosted really bad almost frozzen . I let the car sit for about one hour test tested the n2o system seemed to work fine made one more run bottle pressure was 900 psi , about half track(1/4 mile track) car seemed to go alittle lean I turned off the n2o system finished run (had to against a mustang) car ran great and won race(dumb I know) . Drove the car home about 25 miles no problems . I never had this problem before , the system has been on the car for about 5 years without ant problems . It is a dry n2o system 150 hp part #05115-11 . What whould cause his to happen never seen it before .
Re: I don't N2O what's wrong
cool humid day? then prob nothing is wrong
nos very cold condensation forms on the lines as it being used, higher humidity means more ice on the lines. also your bottle psi drops when its being used and is a different psi when not. with psi under 1000 and cool humid days the gas dosent expand and keep the bottle psi as high as fast. what did your plugs look like after the run ?

Re: I don't N2O what's wrong
I did'nt pull the plugs. The first run the barametric press was 29.34, 62.6*f ,humidity35% and calt1070 (not sure what that is). The second run barametric press 29.33 ,65.3*f ,humidity33%, calt1266 . I forgot to mention runs 1and 2 were almost back to back runs 5 - 10 minutes in between them . run 3 bar 29.36,63.5*f,hum 41% ,calt 1162 . Thanks for the help !

What size shot are you using? Unless your using a pretty big shot, to go from 1100 to 925 in 1 pass doesn't sound normal. Also with the line almost frozen sounds like you have a nitrous leak...

I'm running a 150 dry shot . A leak may explain why the car seemed to go lean .The line that goes from the n2o regulator to the fuel pressure reglulator bleeds off nitrous pressure from the main n2o line to spike the pressure on the fpr for the added fuel while spraying . The leak whould explain both . Thanks for the help .
Re: I don't N2O what's wrong
dosent mean a leak just a large amount of gas flowing with high humidity at lower temps and 60-65 deg isnt that warm
have seen this many of times
try this disconnect the nos line at the intake and plug it, fire the nos and have some one look for leaks
if leaks are found replace or tighten the line or fitting
if no leaks are found run your nos free to the air for a couple of secs {5to10} and watch you lines freeze

Re: I don't N2O what's wrong
I will try it , not to sound like a dumb a$$ when I disconnect the line from the intake and fire it is that going to be to the air also? Whould the frosting of the line going to my fpr cause any damage to it mostly the diaphram inside , should I wait for the frost on the line to thaw before spraying again between runs . The line felt like it was frozen solid very very stiff . Thanks

yes when you disconnect it it will go right to the air.
but if you do it under the same conditions "temp humidity" the line temps should be the same and should freeze again.

Re: I don't N2O what's wrong
I checked the vaccum lines nothing out of the ordinary (damage) , did what you recomemded and it did what you said it whould do . Took it for a quick drive all is good . Thank you for everyones help . I also found out why it started to go a little lean the fitting that hold my electric fuel pressure gauge sensor on the fuel rail was loose and leaking . Titened it up and everything is fine .
