I dont have juice on my bluebird... Yet...

but i want to see some ideas of what kind of buttons you guys are all running.

Do you have a WOT Switch or not?

I know i want Nitrous.

Thats a fact, however price, and engine damage is a factor.

Im going to beef my engine before i do any power adder.

Turbo May be an option too.

Well, Heres the button i used for "Engine Start" in my... Sigh... 92 Ranger.

Except its red. I love telling my friends, DON'T TOUCH THE BIG RED BUTTON

I was thinking of putting a red one of these in front of my Driver window switch.
If i ever do get nitrous.

I have that button as my purge button...
what engine damage are you referring to? I have a 305 TPI stock and have been successfully running a 125 shot without problems, I haven't even messed with the timing... You might not be able to run that shot with a 2.8 but you can still run nitrous as long as you don't go lean and have a good ignition...

I ordered the B&M handle with a built in button and have it right on the shifter. Works great for me. The WOT switch is kind of a pain to mount unless you have a good spot for it.

Same here, 125 shot on my 383 with no problems whatsoever. Its so frustrating hearing everybody say how dangerous nitrous is on a motor. Its nothing to be afraid of.

I concur...I have a WOT switch and don't think its difficult. Mine is mounted on the throttle body, I've also seen mounted on carbs and tbi units...

I have an "arm" button/switch which turns on the switch and energizes the solenoid relay. The WOT switch is what actually engages the system when at WOT...

even better, some wot no2 triggers run off your stock tps sensor so you don't have to have an obvious wot switch on your tb. I prefer the stealth approach.. i've purchased a second dash mount rear defrost switch (pushbutton type) as my arming switch. on my 88 gta there is a blank about 3" to the left of my actual defrost switch that i'm going to mount it in. the only indicator that it will be something different will be the modified picture in the "on" switch clear panel.

I thought about doing the stealth approach myself. What I was planning of doing is using the cruise control stalk as my "nitrous control center". I was going to use the "cruise control on" as the activation and the "set" as the purge and still use a wot switch. I would have mounted the nitrous nozzle/fogger inside the intake tube and hide the lines and solenoids. I've seen those drive-by-wire modules but they're still kinda pricey. What ended up happening is that I bought a new cruise control stalk and now my cruise control works. So I just made an additional nitrous center...

Care to explain how you were going to set that up? I've heard of a lot of different ideas but that one seems to be the most convenient one yet...

what are you referring to? The cruise control stalk? All you do is find the connection on the bottom of the steering column (below the dash) and just figure out what button controls what wire on the plug and simply use relays. I was kind of exited to do that so I also bought the new stalk but I figured out that the old stalk was the problem for my cruise control not working. Now it works and I don't want to mess that up (since its my dd that I do take on long trips)... As far as engine adds, you can easily hide the solenoids inside the fenders (under headlights, etc). The hardest part is stealthfully finding the gasoline tap if using a wet system...maybe tapping the fuel line under the car. As far as fogger, all you need is a fogger that is used in a direct port that shoots the mist straight instead of 90* and hide it inside the cold air intake. Also possibly use a drive-by-wire module that would work for WOT activation. But what others have done, and what I would have done, is mount the WOT switch under the gas pedal so it engages when you floor it.... Truly stealth...
