ELECTRIC TURBO/SUPERCHARGER

ANY1 USED AN ELECTRIC TURBO? i LOOKED AT 1 THAT PROMISES 5PSI. wOULD IT ADD ANY POWER OR IS IT A WASTE

I thought about getting one of these once, I think they'd work great for a modified setup to delete the AC box. That's about it though. They won't add any power to your engine. Sorry.

yeah they are pretty useless, they dont turn with the engine speed and are set at a single speed, so its not matched to every cylinder pulling in air so there is no real power gain

My diesel instructor told me that his son or somebody put one of these on a four-banger and he noticed a slight power increase. It came on at a certain rpm.

I would do some real good research. Likely a cheap one won't do anything, and a pricier one could be a bad waste of money. Its been talked about in depth here before, but you need some real information on efficiency-electrical draw and cfm output. Baseless answers won't get you anywhere. Talk to an automotive engineer and don't believe the party selling the product.
