What dizzy and plugs to run with my F1???
I have a pro billet dizzy with a Digital 6 Plus box and a BTM box attached to that. My motor is a 390 blow thru setup.
I assume I am all set with my timing pieces, but just wanted to double check.
Doesn't seem like I will be needing a vac adv. dizzy or anything like that seeing as how I am boosted.
Also what plugs would you guys run, or how do you think I should decide?
I will be making around 650 WHP I would think. Maybe a little less. The car is a daily driver that I will be taking to work. Sort of just a weekend toy that I want to be able to drive to work. Car will NEVER EVER see the track, maybe years later when I have rebounded from the cost of the motor.
People seem to like autolites that are cheap and swap them out every year......opinions welcome.
Thanks guys.

i use autolites no problems just start out with a cold heat range till you get an idea where that motor wants to run then you can move up 1 heat range at a time this way if something happened it would be with a cold plug would just foul it out rather then burn a piston with to much heat range

i prefer the NGKs over autolite, seem to read a/f ratio better on them. Thought the nitrous guys used them because the ground strap would melt off before hurting a piston since it was made out of softer metal.

Interesting. I too would like the plug to die off before anything else in the motor went, but I think I will stick with conventional autolites.
You are not supposed to run platinum correct. Gets hotter than a standard plug and promotes detonation correct?

Can you turn an F1 down low enough to make 650 on a 390" engine?

I am talking about wheel HP. Not motor. If I make more power I don't think I will be complaining.
This is definetly a better problem to have than my past of not having enough power.
