Well I thought I was hearing my blowofff valve, but I think its coming out my airfilter.

Anyone have a good way to test/set a blow off valve?

Thanks in advance

Re: setting blow-off valve?
the spring in the BOV should be just enough to keep it closed at idle (vacuum is trying to open it), then when you open the throttle blades and get out of max vacuum it will stay closed, but when you let off and the throttle blades snap shut the vacumm is back trying to open the BOV and the boost pressure in the charge pipe is just enough to help it open

Re: setting blow-off valve?
hook a vacuum gauge up to where you plumb in your BOV reference (plenum...) and let the car idle, whatever it reads put the spring rated at that value in the BOV and your done. I suppose you can use the hand pump to test the BOV to make sure you have the correct spring but it's just as easy to check while the motor is idling
