Re: Twin scroll turbos
What is it it that you want to know?
One thing that can be done with a twin scroll is block off half of the turbine and have half the A/R, for quicker spool up. If need be a flapper can be added to the other scroll and open for more flow at higher boost/RPM.

Re: Twin scroll turbos
What is the point of using them?
Basically to balance out the ex gasses? Such as how a equal length header works?
Also Ive read that they will preform with a lower AR at low rpm/gass flow and act as a higher AR with more flow?

Re: Twin scroll turbos
with ur setup u wont really see a gain with a twinscroll.
most setups have each bank plumbed into one side of the turbine housing
or u would alternate the cyls feeding each side so that each ex pulse would hit the oposite side of the turbine housing say on an inline 4 cyl or stright 6/8
the only advantage to using one on ur setup is u could run a huge ar housing for top end flow and use a quick spool valve to make it spool up like a smaller ar housing

Ok thats making sence them. I wasent as much looking into getting one of those but there were a few on the net that were interesting and I really got lost on why even use one and when it would be a gain.

Re: Twin scroll turbos
imports tend to gain a lot from there faster spooling rates but from my experience it wasn't really worth it. that and the older ones had some reliability issues with bearings and such but i'm sure that's all fixed now. but like all turbo's they need good oiling just not too much
