Best Supercharger option for 1988-1992 Camaro, 383 stroker engine.

Hey all i have a quick question. I dont yet have my car but its in the works. The whole general idea is to get a 1988-1992 z28 Camaro. Throw a 383 Stroker engine in it and then Supercharge it. Here is my question. What supercharger system would be the best for a late 3rd gen Camaro with a 383 stroker in it? Also if you have any other insight on things i could do, im open ears. Thanks

Best is in the eye of the beholder. Are turbos an option? If you definitely want a supercharger will it have to fit under a stock hood, or a cowl hood, or have it in the open? Answers to these questions will help to decide whether you want a displacement type supercharger that sits on your manifold or more likely a centrifugal type which will fit under your stock hood. A number of manufacturers make centrifugal blowers, Procharger, Vortech, and Paxton are a few. Procharger and Vortech have kits that fit our cars, others probably do too.

Its going to be a cowl hood. Now question on that. Do they make such a hood where its a cowl hood but an opening for the blower? Because i was leaning more towards having a blower but i dont want it open. Am i correct with saying this or not?

I've had good results with a procharger (D1SC), went from running 12.90's on naturally aspirated motor to 10.73 (my best so far) with my procharger. I built the motor with the idea of putting a supercharger on it...def. not stock. Runs on 93 oct. pump gas.

Budget plays a role....If EFI then you need to consider the ECU of preference

Well, if you decide to go Procharger, I have a D1-B that I will be selling for cheap.
