If yours is the supercharged one in the picture I am sure it can with the correct pulley. NA I would be a lot less positive.

 

It's only 8 psi. The block does have some work done. 40 bore, cam, headers, and Holley 800 CFM.

 

I heard they can go 9's

 

It's refreshing to see another member actually build their boosted 305 to run at the track, as now you, Dave (TwinTurboRoc) and myself can throw down some actual numbers when the weather gets better and when the track opens, hopefully in March here at Old Bridge Raceway Park. We also have a track rental here at Atco Raceway in April, $200 dollar buy in if you or anyone is interested locally. Just please don't wait for the carnage point to follow up with any results, as most here will do that leaving members to wonder how it actually ran, or if it even ran at all for that matter. Will definitely be keeping an eye on your progress. I'm loving that freaking blower on your 305...

Lot of fast guys will be showing up. Swoosh's Nissan GTR is sweet, very fast car. In the vid below it ran tens, now its in the nines. The more guys that show up and commit to running the less expensive it will be for all of us. There is a nine second '89 Formula with a Buick powered LC2 owned by Steve Kaminski that I'd like to call out that day, hoping he can come because that car is sick...

Here is one of their track rentals from awhile back...

 

10's in a 3400 lb car is only around 550 hp. Thats a good bit on stock block but should be capable. Heavier ride needs more hp.

 

Do you think you'll run 10's? What heads/cam/intake?

450-500 should get you there at 3000.

In really well setup cars in mineshaft air track conditions it may even take less. Not so optimal conditions 400 whp went 11.4 in summer air at 3450 for me. Just 3.42 gear and 3600 stall. Winter air always worth 2-3 tenths on my cars at my track. Almost a 11.2 lets say. East coast sealevel may go 11.1 in december. Thats only 475-500 crank hp. Optimal gear and more stall, more shift tuning, probably gain .1-.2. Be in 10's for sure

450-500 should be easily achievable in a turbo 305. Someday i will play with my Lb9 but i have a hard time justifying pulling a 1200 hp motor for a time bomb boat anchor at half the power lol

 

i went 10.30's with 377rwhp and a 125-135ish shot at 3050 lbs. 1.34ish 60'.
