Wastegate tubing angle help?

hey guys i just got all the goods to install my wastegate and I'm trying to get the best possible location to have good exhaust flow with my limited amount of space. I was wondering if coming straight off would work ok or straight into a upward bend would be better? Ive read about ideal flow for wastegates but sorta limited on space and trying to mount in a weird location. Any ideas help thanks guys.

Re: Wastegate tubing angle help?

Why not right out the front? Oil drain issues? Or even on a 45 degree toward the rad? Im sure this would have been a choice if the space was available though.

Re: Wastegate tubing angle help?

Ya out the front a few different things start to make issues oil return, compressor housing, and then if i managed to dodge all that id have to run 2 feet of pipe back to the down pipe for the return. Been scratching my head for a few hours looking at every way possible then i decided to turn here lol when i get back to the house ill throw the manifold and turbo on and give you a better idea of what space im working with

Re: Wastegate tubing angle help?

put a 44-50mm gate in the crossover tube and u shouldnt have issues.
hell u could come off the main part of the log nexto the downpipe with a 44 gate and not have issues

Re: Wastegate tubing angle help?

Ya i starting reading into correct location on wastegate and angles and started getting paranoid on boost creep issues seeing how i only want to run 7 PSI. I think ill go straight off with my 44mm gate i figured a big gate would do the trick almost anywhere on the manifold. Thanks guys that's just what i needed to clear my head ill post pics after i weld it up tomorrow.
