Turbo header drivers side

Got a couple pics of the drivers side header all tacked up. Need to add the collector which should add about 2.5 inches in height. turbos clear everything easily, the closest tube is .5 inches from the upper steering shaft bolt, rest is .75 or better. Will post more pics once the collector is done. cheers, Bob

Just curious, Are you making that header out of scedule 80 pipe? If so, that header is going to be heavy as hell. Are you doing a single or twin turbo setup? Keep us posted on how the project is going.and keep the pics comming.

From the looks of this one Header, my bet is not bad. for some time now I have bought nothing but BBC wires & run them under the headers (for looks mostly), & my bet is that if he does this trick he will not have any problems.

My question is how are you (Bob) going to get the down tube through? are you planning on going out through the fender & then back in or is there enough room to the side of the booster to get it down? It is hard to see from this angle.

While I am @ it, what are you using to weld that pipe up? Just a standard Mig?

Looks good, cant wait to see how it comes out.

Theres plenty of access to the plugs and wires, the downpipe will run between the last two cylinders, between the head and the last primary pipe, near the dip stick ( I am swapping to a Lokar flexable stick and mount it to the last cylinder. I plan to run a 2.5 inch downpipe under the oil pan and over the pass side and mate with the second downpipe and Y into a single cat then onto the Hooker dual GN exhaust. Heres a couple different pics.
First a scale shot.....

This one is from below....

I plan to weld using my Lincoln 110v MIG, with I had a TIG but someday..... cheers, Bob

Gotcha, I saw that & thought, "boy that is a funny way to run the #7 tube, wonder what that is about?", but did not think that you were going to run it though there as the dipstick tube was in the way........... Duh.

Thanks amigo. I just bought a Hobart 135 & have been playing with it for a little while. I love it, I tried using a buddies Lincoln 100 & could not draw a bead to save my life, but he was able to run them well enough to put in my Sub Frame connectors. Anywho, See Ya
