Guido,are you going to have the flange machined where the gasket meets the head?
I did the same thing,running a bead around the port openings,but the weld isnt flat,and the things leaked like crazy,blowing gaskets,so i ground and filed them flat,checking them with a straight edge.
The problem is,the exhaust pressure is double boost pressure and if you dont REALLY seal up the headers,its hard to keep gaskets on them.
Your super fat flanges are probably killer strong though, I love e'm!

sweet header, but I'm curious about that too. most of the headers (catalog type) we sell have a huge weld around the port opening that has been just barely topped on a mill to provide a raised but flat gasket sealing surface.

I am planning on having them milled a bit to make a flat surface. They are 3/8" 304ss flanges.

Plenty of material there.
