I don't know of any companies that make a S.C. for the V-belt setup. This is why I am changing my 86 over to serp. I believe Hawks Thirdgen Parts has it, but it is very expensive. I got my setup from a fellow member for around 60 bucks. I would check Ebay or go to a junkyard and pull the parts you need, this would be much cheaper. Their is website that tells you how to do the swap, but I don't remember the address. Maybe someone else does??

paxton made a kit for the v-belt cars, but you'd have to find one used.

here's mine:

Probably best going to serpentine.

If you go with the vortech all you need is the pullys, and the right side bracket. THe alternator and power steering use the vortech bracket.

If you need parts, let me know. I have more serp setups than I can count.

We need to mention that the following parts are also different:

Alternator
Power Steering Pump
A/C Compressor
A/C Lines
Water Pump

The 1986 alternator is much larger and won't work. The 1987 alternator has the mounting hole in a different location.

The power steering pump on a v-belt system has different mounting holes too. It's kind of odd that a V6 power steering pump from 1985 - 1987 will work on a V8 serpentine system.

The A/C compressor is a different design on the serpentine system.

Obviously, the compressor lines are different because of the opposite mounting location of the compressor.

The serpentine water pump is a reverse rotation unit. So a v-belt water pump will not work.

As far as I know, the air pump is the same.

Mine looks different than the one above.....Plus mine uses air from under the car versus the filter in the engine compartment...Id post a pic but I dont have anywhere to store it on the net

My discharge tubing looks the same but my compressor is basically a newer model...It was the last model made by the Original Paxton company.

I ditched the original air intake setup because i drove in the rain and that stupid filter under the fender sucked up water and killed my maf.
