ok so what happens if your caught using it lol
probably gonna get slapped with a big *** ticket , lol
but I doubt they will impound your car because of it...
in MA I think you would get a reckless driving , or street racing ticket... which if course would probably be like $500 , lol

Here in NJ you need a permit (which is free) to carry it in your car. The bottle also has to be closed. None of my friends have ever been givin crap about it though.

It wouldn't be so much the nitrous bottle that you would get in trouble for. It's what you might do with it.
If you are using it to street race then you'd get busted for "speed competition on a public road" or what ever they call it in your town.
If you're smoking the tires you'll get it for "exibition driving" or "wreckless driving" or something like that.
If you're speeding, well, there is your speeding ticket, and if it's by very much over the limit you might get a "wreckless driving" or "wreckless endangerment" to go with it.
But just for having the bottle, they will probably just ask you how fast it is.
In almost every state nitrous is completely legal with few or no actual restrictions on the nitrous itself, but the same speeding, racing wreckless laws still apply.
