Anyone else have this problem???
When I open IE after my computer restarts or whatever my home page comes up and I then go to www.thirdgen.org. 95% of the time the main page of thirdgen.org craps out and locks up my computer, making me do a hard restart. It has been driving me crazy for about 6 months and after checking everything twice, I thought I would check with you guys. If I open www.thirdgen.org/techbb2 it never locks up, just the main page.
Any thoughts?
Brian

:hail: to 98SE!!!
All of the others suck.

Seriously, email or PM Dirk or Brad. They might have an answer for you. Dirk is a computer guy and can fix lots of problems via email.

lol, i've heard the quickest way is to catch brad when he's online.
as to win98..... i'm running it here on the desktop. i use win2k professional on my laptop, which i like much better. i've heard xp is even better, so i might give it a try when i build a new computer.
but i'll agree with everyone on windows me. when i was in college year and a half ago, we built computers for a class. we put windows me on just to try it. no matter what my lab partner and i did, we could NEVER get the device manager to list everything as being installed correctly. in other words, if you were to look in the device manager window, you'd see a red x on the hardware that was malfunctioning. plus it would crash at random, and make a duron 800 machine run horridly slow.
