I'm not sure what the hell his problem is, but it's pretty bad when a mod trolls a member.

I'd just like to understand RTD3s logic here... What makes him think a thread attacking a veteran member is going to make people want to help him any more than when he attacked everyone else before?

You people are so ****ing biased either that or oblivious to what happened.

Bluntly, I'm sick and ****ing tired of people ragging on the south, so when someone comes out and makes an assinine comment about "follow the tires tracks back to the trailor," I'm going to get pissed. So how in the HELL could you blame ME, Jesus Christ, are you all ignorant? Yeah, I attacked a member, after he made a completely irrelevent response in my thread. So let's pull our heads out of our lower intestine and realize I "attacked" no one.

With your logic, if you were to be aggrevating and taunting a mean dog and it bites you, it is entirely 100% the dogs fault

I was the better man and apologized to those who don't continue to be asses, I offered an open apology to ede, but his e-cool dick seems to be too large to become a man and accept an apology.

No ede, he is referring to this thread , of which I referred to in this thread when I was trying to be nice, which then boiled over to this thread which apparently lead here.

Rebel, remember my last post in the last thread referenced above? "So close yet..."

Then you come in here and are a jackass yet again.

You know better than to assume I am oblivious to what happened, nor are you dumb enough to try the ignorance line with me yes?

How exaclty is he trolling you? He visits mosts parts of the BBS and is the moderator in more than one area. When he sees an issue, he posts, just like most members. You think you had it bad, or are the only one that this happens to? See
this thread. If you would like to see what trolling against someone really is, that can be arranged.

I think I have already visited the oblivious part to this, however, biased? Hmmm... yes I think I do have a prejudiced outlook when it comes to ede. As a matter of fact, with regard to certain particular members of this board I must say the same thing. That's why I smacked you in the other threads. What you fail to realize is that these people have YEARS on JUST THIS BBS in which they have shown their competence in what they do for, and say to, other members, unlike you. They have earned their place and certain rights and /or any leeway which you think you perceive.

I don't care. I'm sick to death of Greek jokes. Do you see me crying every time some one makes one? No. I actually laugh at 'em. Get the binky out of your mouth and grow up. IT WAS A JOKE!! Would you like me to try my hand at disparaging southern folk? I'm told I have a knack for that sort of thing when I put my mind to it.

The matter in question here was said in jest. Everyone who read that post knew it, you were the only one who did not.

In case you were ignorant of the definition of 'ignorant' the above is a good example of ignorance. Yours.

Did you, or did you not, attack a member? You contradict yourself here. I am unclear as to the meaning you are trying to express. Is this a southern thing?

No, that is why there is protection if you are commiting a tort, but if I were merely playing with said dog and he bit me I'd shoot the son-of-a-bitch. Do you know the definitions of the words that you use? Mayhap you should invest in a dictionary. RB did not taunt you, and one instance is not aggravating. ede may have been aggravating, to you, yet, as far as I can there was a reason and maybe a little instigation as well.

You really just don't get it. How about an apology to everyone else you pissed off with your asinine behavior? Why not address my post in the second thread I referenced above? And where the heck was the open apology to ede? You more or less said to just let it go, not "I'm sorry...". You are digging your own grave. This keeps up and no one but noobies will be answering your pleas for help. This board is the premier tech site on the net for thirdgen f-bodies for a reason. Your pissing the off the entirety of the reason with posts like these. Heed my advice boy, shut up, read, and learn. Post only after you have achieved some knowledge.

ohhh man,

You guys made my morning, that sure kept me entertained.

Rebel, You probably haven't been around long enough to know that Ede and I in the past have gone at it, and there is no love lost between us. BUT, you made a complete *** of yourself. You have alot to learn. I would advise you to NOT answer any questions unless you have a definate qualified answer. you obviously lack any real experiance, and it shows. You have contradicted yourself (the part owner and how well off you are, followed by the 'no money til payday' comment, almost made me spit coffee all over the moniter), and insulted others, when the correct your bad tech.

I can't beleive I am saying this, but for once I am going to have to side with Ede.

I might have ot put some sort of e-mail monitor on your posts, there is nothing i enjoy more than a good flame war with the young, cocky, and stupid.

Young? Admittedly.

Cocky? Maybe. Werent' we all a bit cocky at that age?

Stupid? Not likely. More probably just inexperienced. Besides, that kind of label isn't going to help the situation much. It would be advisable to refrain from name calling, as indicated in the Memeber Agreement.

RTD,

You HAD to expect a little backlash, after calling out an established member onto the carpet.

Just to set things straight, as I recall, it was RB83L69 that made the comment

"Nah, they'll just follow it to whichever trailer it was headed to. Piece of cake."
  1. I'm not sure that that comment was even directed at anyone in particular, since it was not in second person tense.
  2. I'm not certain that it was intended as "bashing" any given culture or geographic area's residents, especially since the link you provide to your dragster frame business indicates "Leesport, PA" as a location contradicts that notion. Additionally, there are trailer parks, er, "mobile home communities" in every area of the country, including way up here in the snow belt. It isn't a geographic thing at all. The same thing happens everywhere.
  3. If you met, ever talked to, or had any idea of where some of these very same poeple have lived, hailed from, or visited, you might realize just how ridiculous such a statement really is. UNDERSTAND - I didn't call YOU ridiculous, but the statement about "south-bashing" is ridiculous in that context. A few of us got a chuckle over that one, since youy obviously didn't know.
  4. I'd almost bet the contents of my wallet that old RB has set down a stripe or two in his day, so it doesn't necessarily establish him as "superior" in any way. However, the fact that he was willing to let it drop may do that instead.
My advice - LET IT GO! You can take my advice, or not.

Get over it, and move on to better threads. If you stay around as long as I think you might, you (and everyone else) are going to take a little butt every once in a while. I've had my foot in my mouth so many times I started to enjoy the taste of Nike's Chinese rubber. I don't lose sleep over it.

Red Devil pointed out that even HE tried to be nice in subsequent threads (which is really saying something) and was rebuked in his efforts.

JUST LET IT GO!.

You've already informed everyone that you are relatively new to driving. That's great. You're young, eager, and have already found this great place to get opinions and suggestions. Don't blow it now. Mosy of us "oldies" used to have to do this kind of thing in drive-ins, hanging around garages, stumbling around the pits, and occasionally get little bits of useful information from the small groups we'd encounter there. That was our "internet", and it wasn't nearly as effective. Much more of the experience here could be categorized as trial-and-error adventures. There is a lot to be gained here, from all around the globe. Trust me, we're almost all trying to help. To be just starting out and be spared some of the frustration some of us have experienced is a beautiful thing.

We were all 16 once. Many of us would have loved to have been 16, with 10% of the experience we have now, and NOT made 90% of the dumb mistakes we made then. Many others here are still around 16, but show a little more humility in their posts, not presuming to be any better than any other poster. It's worth a try.

If I could go back to being 16 with what I know now... Of course, the older I get, the more I realize I DO NOT know everything and can learn from others. Just the other day I was corrected about c-clips. I got over it.

ok after reading vaders reply and following red devils links it seems i'm a e thug for what RB said. also seems strange to me that i'm make any sort of insults about being from the south considering my heritage.

Wow, this youngster doesn't get it, does he....

You have to be kind of careful what you say on the Internet. You never know who you're getting tangled up with, or anything about them, unless they choose to tell you.

Well, Mr. Southerner from Pennsylvania : :hail: , I'd be pleased to inform you at this point, that I lived in Tennessee from 1965 until 2000, except for a few years that I lived in Mississippi. I went to college at Ole Miss. One of my surviving brothers and my sister still live around Memphis, and the other one lives in Alabama.

I'm not originally from the South, but I have obviously lived there one hell of alot longer than you have, or likely will ever manage to, judging from your attitude: I foresee you being the kind of guy that hears somebody say "shut up" and thinks they mean "stand up", one too many times for your own good. I've seen more Southern culture come and go than you'll ever even know exists. I've lived in other parts of the country too at various other times, and visited various other parts of the world as well, just for good measure.

I don't think I have any trouble recognizing low-life when I see it; not in the North, the South, the East, or the West; not in Europe or Africa or Central America or the Caribean; not in any of the 4 or 5 languages I'm proficient enough in to do business. And I think I recognize some right now. People that do burnouts on public roads at early hours when the homeowners (you do own your own home like alot of the rest of us, don't you? Well, DON'T YOU??) are out jogging or taking their children to the school bus, are usually considered as just exactly that. Your actions, described in your own words, not mine.

So far I haven't noticed you contributing anything useful to anyone here, such as would be missed if you had never appeared. I have yet to see one useful tip, helpful hint, thought-provoking postulate, helpful instruction to a first-time car owner struggling with their lack of experience (oh wait.... maybe that's because that's what you are, not an experienced long-time car hobbyist or professional mechanic) or anything else. All I've seen from you is a bunch of bragging and troublemaking. Maybe I've missed something, but then again, maybe not.

You can be just as much of a cocky juvenile punk as you want, and get yourself thrown out of here, if that's what you want. Or, you can learn to swallow your bloated "pride" in something you aren't and don't have, quit making a fool of yourself, and participate. Consider yourself lucky that I'm not a moderator, and make a wise use of the chance you have been given to clean up your act before someone who is decides that this forum doesn't need you or people like you.

Have a wonderful weekend!!
