how to compress a video file : (
mods you can delete this after i find out.. but i have no help : (.. i just want to make an 11 sec video easy to send to people.. it opens up with Windows media player and would probably take an hour to send to someone or more. i heard of wmv format but i dont even kno what it is or what to do help me someone

You need a video editing program that compresses the video with a specific codec you choose. .mpg, .mpeg, .mov, .mp4 and .wmv are popular formats. .mp4 will get the best quality/file size ratio you are looking for. You will set the bits/sec, resolution, audio frequency, and other settings to dertermine how big of a file you will end up with. Usally the more compression you use, the more pixilated the output is. Since I edit on Apple computers I am not sure what program you will want to use. (I'm guessing you are running windows) I Work with Final cut pro, After effects and Quicktime pro.

yeah im on XP.. i dont get how this works... what program do i want where to download it.. i guess download.com i dont kno what to do
