i know this thread will probably be closed shortly, but i want to know WHY the thread was closed on "age and pics of cars"

it may not have been the most "appearance" related topic BUT
it was no different than having just a thread of ppl showing pics of their cars and adding at the end of their post how old they are...so why was it deleted???

kinda rediculous if you ask me

if posts like that are going to keep getting closed then i forward the motion for a "lounge" area for ALL 3rd gens, instead of having all the regional ones, we need somewhere where we can just chat with 3rd genners all across the boards and not have to worry about the mods closing the threads

this isn't an all tech site or else they wouldn't allow all the events sections to go on, and the marketplace...the only thing we DONT have is a lounge...

and if they're not gonna let us have a lounge so we can just chill with other 3rd genners what site do we have to go to??? this is probably the biggest 3rd gen only site on the internet, what's the big deal in having a lounge

and another thing...if this is a tech only site then why does it say "thirdgen.org message boards" at the top of the page...

You're right in that the location boards are just split up lounge/general boards, but they claim to have had problems in the past, and it's their site, so they can do whatever.

Most people, myself included, probably do. But my point is that it's their decision.

We would all like lots of things to happen at TGO but its not gonna happen. Im waiting for an actual update of the boards...maybe the RPO decoder could work again or the readers rides. So many members so many cool people on TGO we NEED a lounge...but oh well we cant always get what we want.

Its like were meant to be robots only posting something technical...no side talk aloud.

Oh well you guys are ranting so will i lol...

This board means more to me then anything else on the internet its tought me so much and helps me so much i am very thankful for that. Just needs an update...

We really can spread this board and make more people come to it and like third gens...making it more attractive making people want to read into the cars on this site...a banner update that says Thirdgen.org...eh oh well

I support this place and at least have a small thirdgen.org sticker on the side of my window. I contribute what knowledge i have and what i can do to help others.

Welcome to the Suggestions forum!

Way back in '02 when I joined this forum, I felt pretty much the same way. What's so wrong with a lounge forum? But as time went on and I learned the flow of the site, I came to realize that this place doesn't need one. As I learned the history of the site, I realized why there isn't one and why there's almost zero chance there ever will be. I won't get into it, but you should know that this has been brought up countless times before, and it's always been denied.

Hell, I'd settle for them getting the VIN decoder working again, so I don't have to keep looking it all up.

Just read this:
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=152066

Never again will TGO have a lounge. Quite simply, if you dont like it, just go to another third gen site that has a lounge. That is what I do when I feel the need to just BS.

Moaning and complaining about this will just fall on deaf ears. We will not have a lounge, and most of us feel it is better this way.
