I haven't checked the site in a while but it seems like the year by year car tech has the vin decoder missing? You know the one that tells you eigth digit is 'f' means LB9. Where is it now? I couldn't find it anywhere.
Thanks,

Some time ago, the server that hosted TGO had a hard drive failure. There was some loss. The VIN and original RPO decoder was lost. I don't think we have a VIN decoder to add back to the website.

Heres a Vin and RPO Decoder.
Maybe this could be posted up in the main page where the old online decoder was, after all it is a freeware program...

I responded in another thread in which the same question was asked. I'd be willing to write a VIN decoder, I just needed to know the preferred method (PHP+MySQL, Perl, text file, etc), but never got a response.
I meant to contact Jason and get his input the last time. The Xoxide (owners of TGO) staff has strict managment over their servers to help keep server load issues (among other things) at bay, so I'd have to see what their opinion is.
Thanks.
Thanks.
