Re: problem?
Yeah, I did yesterday updating my "Factory Aluminum & Lightweight Goodies". My post with all the PN's and alum spare rims wouldn't let me in so I had to post the alum drum info in another one. I went back to that page just now and it won't let me edit a post from two days ago. Its letting me edit this post tho...LOL

Re: problem?
I noticed a similar issue in the classifieds forum (may be by design, and I may be forgetting). I sold 1 of the 3 items listed, and I wanted to edit the top post and put "SOLD" in bold, because experience tells me 90% of postsers read the top post, and then immediately respond saying "I'll take it" ignoring all the transactional posts in between.
But then I thought, well maybe this is designed to keep the seller from changing the item description, and covering up a shady sale. I guess you cannot win.
Though I will say, the ability to edit old tech posts should be enabled, even if the post is 4 years old. More times than not i've either discovered a new way of doing something, or figured out why a mystery was such and the ability to edit the original post would be great. (especially when we ask members to use Search so often!)
Though, I can't say I've ever had a problem editing an old post on any board other than the classifieds forum. But just saying.

Re: problem?
I've been doing it to mine to keep the info in one post so if someone needs it they don't need to read lots of unnecessary posts. I can also add updates & eliminate bad info too. Sorry, I not trying to be a NewB PITA.

Re: problem?
Same here... no edit feature/button available. That's an important feature. Other than that, the new 'look' looks good.

Its annoying cause i hate when people dont edit their post and then you get people asking if parts are available 2 years down the road and that seller is long gone and the part normally is sold.
It is helpful in the classfieds if we were able to edit our original post.
Now i will pointless bump my sold parts to the top just so everyone knows it has been sold and i dont get PMs months later about the parts. It has happened before.
I also see the reasoning for this so that people dont lie and change what they said before. Just wish everyone was honest you know?
