how to upload data
I understand how to upload pics but I cant figure out how to upload datta from tds dattamaster so someone can tell me whats going on or what I`m looking at.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: how to upload data
What is the file extension? TDS?
Currently, only the following file extensions are allowed to be uploaded via the attachment feature: doc, gif, jpg, pdf, png, txt and zip.
Unofficially, and not exactly a secret, is I believe if you add one of the allowed extensions (above) to the file's original extensions, I believe it will upload. Of course the downloaders will then need to remove the extension as well in order to review the file.
But let me know the file extension and perhaps we could add it.
Thanks.

Re: how to upload data
dattamaster is uni. I believe and I`ve tried changing it to other stuff and this is what I got.Well crap I already loaded it on the tpi board and it wont let me do it again, but it was all the data just all mixed up.
Re: how to upload data
I searched the database and found your attachment. It appears you changed the entire file to a txt extension. I believe that was the problem.
You need to simply add a .zip to the extension of the file itself once it's already saved as a UNI file.
When you click on the Manage Attachments and the new window appears, once you have located the file on your hard drive, right-click the file and select rename. Then, at the end of the file, add a .zip
This should get by the current restriction.
I will look into possibly adding a few extensions to the allowed list.

Re: how to upload data
Your account is normal so you have the permissions. What error are you seeing or receiving? Mostly likely there is only two issues 1)Too large (there is a 1MB limit file size limit per each attachment) or 2)File is not an acceptable extension to upload.
Need more information.

What's the file extension of the attachment? What's the size of the attachment?
You can try to email it to me (jt@thirdgen.org) and I'll look at it. Or is this an issue for everything you upload?

Its a uni file 410 KB.No,I can email it,and upload photos and such.
Re: how to upload data
Above the Manage Attachments button, you'll see the list of accepted file extensions:
So, that's not an accepted extension. That's why it doesn't work. You might be able rename the file to a .zip and then upload.
Valid file extensions: doc gif jpg mp3 pdf png txt wav zip

Yeah,I`ve tried to rename it to all of those.I`ve tried adding them to the end with the uni.and without it.
Re: how to upload data
What is the true file extension? And what is the program producing the extension? May be dumb questions but I'm not familiar with what you're using.
I ask because I plan to add some of the tuner-type extensions (I forgot that I was to do this before), and I'll look at this extension as well.
