All of a sudden none of the attached pics show up here, I only get red Xs, doesn't matter if I use IE or Chrome or whatever. Anyone knows what's up? Only happens here.

 

Works fine for me. I randomly checked past attachments and all of them worked fine for me. As there was no attachments yet uploaded today, I uploaded a test attachment and it works as well.

If there might be a specific thread, forum, give me a link to check out. Otherwise, it appears to me that it's a local (user-end) issue as all my initial tests show the attachments (past and current) are displaying as normal.

 

I also went into the last thread you responded to, which did have an attachment, and that attachment worked fine for me as well. I included a screencapture:

 

Must be on my end then..weird thing is, normal pics work and on my own forum (vettemod.com, same software as this) attachments & pics also work.

 

Just checked again, here it doesn't work. The pic doesn't load, the lightbox comes up though. On every other forum it does work, mine has lightbox on attachments too. Was there a recent software update here because it used to work.

I'm using IE8 & Google Chrome.

that looks like the code for the little attachment icon, shouldn't the link be a javascript link calling the lightbox and then opening a specific picture?

 

I did some more checks, is my IP blocked from accessing pics/ pics directories? When I use a different IP address or an anonymous proxy I can see everything just fine. What's up with that?

And no, no software changes have been made on the forum or backend to cause this. We have not received any other similar reports from other users on this issue. The attachment feature is working fine for me, as shown in my example, and I even gave Google Chrome a try and the attachment feature worked correctly in that browser as well.

 

It must be something IP related as that's the only thing that really changes when going through a proxy.

No, I didn't but I just checked w/ my PS3 and when I surf here through the same IP (on same router) the attachments do show up on it...that means it must be something with the other (Windows) systems... damned if i know what's up with it.

 

OK. We do not have an IP block at the level currently in place. But if we did, you would be missing on seeing more than just attachments.

I'll keep your issue in mind, but at this time, I'm not thinking of any advise that might help. Can't say I've heard or seen such an issue before.

 

I got the issue resolved. Turned out to be an issue with my new firewal/av software (Gdata) in combo w/ google chrome not only setting it's own settings but also altering windows intenet secutiry settings and some other stuf. What a PITA! Weirdest prob. I ever had the displeasure of hunting down LOL Still weird it only happened here, maybe a combo of the issues w/ the forum software ver. and lightbox.
