Please make sure to read the stickies (Important/Useful) and Announcements as the contain important and frequently asked information:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prob...mages-tgo.html
"download failed" is not a known valid error for our software. You would be upload images to our server, if using the attachment, or hot-linking the image if it's hosted on another provider.

Re: cansomebody help me post pictures??
We need more information as there are several ways to post pictures on this website, in different sections.
Are you trying to post Attachments inside a post? If so, the restrictions are noted in the Attachment manager (currently):
doc 1.00 MB
gif 1.00 MB
jpg 1.00 MB
mp3 1.00 MB
pdf 1.00 MB
png 1.00 MB
txt 1.00 MB
wav 1.00 MB
zip 1.00 MB
Are you trying to hot-link an image (served from a remote website) inside a post? If so, there is no restrictions on size.
Are you trying to upload images in your vBGarage section? If so, the restrictions are noted in the vBGarage section (currently):
Each image must be less than 150KB in size. Total of 6 images, max.
Are you trying to upload pictures in the Photo Gallery section? If so, the restrictions are noted in the Photo Gallery manager section (currently):
Maximum File Size per Picture 97.7 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 800 by 600 Pixels
In case of the latter, the system will attempt to scale down the image if it's outside of the above restrictions, however, too large of a difference will result in an error.
There is no "download failed" error as you describe.

I received the image. As I mentioned above, the restrictions for uploaded files via the Attachment manager (currently):
doc 1.00 MB
gif 1.00 MB
jpg 1.00 MB
mp3 1.00 MB
pdf 1.00 MB
png 1.00 MB
txt 1.00 MB
wav 1.00 MB
zip 1.00 MB
The image you sent me, which you are trying to upload as an attachment, is 2.2MB in size. This is over 2X the size that is allowed. That's why it won't upload. The resolution is 3648x2736 which is simply fairly large for general purposes.
I will scale down the file you sent to me, to confine with the restrictions, and email it back to you so that you can post it in the proper area.
In the future, you will need to adjust the resolution on your camera down, or (better yet), use a 3rd party software to scale down and/or crop the image. While 2.2MB isn't enormous in today's world, it's larger than needed to post a general picture. We, like most other websites, have to use some restrictions to keep things within control.
