Will this really help a LO3 motor? I have installed ported and polished T-bodys on LS1 Corvettes and found it really helped, but what can be expected out of a 305????? $300 plus the core is a steep price....let me know I am curious.

Not really a bigh seat of pants difference vs stock. Wanted a 46mm trottle body from turbocity 1. because I saw this http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te.../photo_05.html
yes the tb you get is that nice.

2. Im using the performer intake 3704 with enlarged 46mm bores, it does not have the crossflow passage between the 2 bores for allowing more air like the stock one has. So I thought of compensating trough a better TB.

Next time Im taking of the itake manifold Im going to cut a passage between the 2 bores for sure.

For "low output motor"
Once you did LT1 cam, full exhaust, fueling, tune and 3.23 gears to your LO3 thirdgen, dont know if you still can call it "low output motor". If so even the L98 in a Z28 will be a "low output motor".

"is the $300 woth it?"
For certain not to gain power on a stock LO3.

Re: Aftermarket TBI???????

As stated turbo City or Holley(4 barrel or 2 barrel). check EBay for Holley(pretty much low demand).

I`ve been happy with mine so far. It has only been in for 1 month, but so far so good. It is a ported (50mm) Rochester TBI 220 stock unit. Flows 700 cfm. Great unit! they also have a really nice pressure regulator for only $40. I got 9C1 injectors from them, too. I`m running imine with a Vortec headed 355 with LT4 Hot Cam & 3.23`s. I used to be an L03 car. I don`t even have 500 miles on the motor yet!

Re: Aftermarket TBI???????

However, I would agree, spend your money elsewhere for more obvious gains. A bigger TBI is only for a motor that flows big air!

Well if everithing is as nice as you are telling us you got really lucky.
That seller is wery well known on here for his statement about his products. Belive me turbocity's work to the TB is far superior to mr bishop's.

Re: Aftermarket TBI???????

I was Just trying to troubleshoot & look at others` similar problem. It`s brand new, man...trying to work through little issues that would pop up. It ran great except for the weird "throttle" (what I was thinking last night) thing which was minor (not WOT!) which turned out to be the TPS (as I found out this morning). No matter what thread I put it in here is the fact that matters: it runs great, all systems go.
