Anybody in North texas should come to a gathering at Tom's Burgers & Grill In North Arlington On Sunday, January 31st. WE're starting at 4PM and who knows how long we're going to stay there.

Let's try to park all the 3rd gens togetherso we can get some nice pics. I'm going to call tom's and ask if we can park in the display area he uses for his classic car shows once a month

Anybody who is coming or even if you MIGHT come, post on this thread so we have a general idea how many will be there

I can't make it there, but if there is another gathering, I would like to be added to an email group.

 

Where did you get 4pm from? No way we'd start that late, especially on a Sunday.

That is another Saturday is better. Gives everyone time to get home & not hafta get up early the next morning, and go to work. A day to rest after a long road trip.

On another note...I couldn't find any Austin or Round Rock places we could Reserve, short of the Austin buildings that they rent out for churches/High School Reunions, etc. Georgetown is cheap & only like 15 minutes north of Round Rock. If you come up from Houston on the Toll Road, it dumps you out like 2 miles from the park, so it wouldn't be bad at all.

It takes me a hour to get to Georgetown, so I don't want anything thinking I'm just trying to make it easier on me. EASIER than for Houston/DFW people? Yes. EASY? Well....A road trip is a road trip, huh?

I see the problem....I got this Arlington thread mixed up with the Texas Gathering thread, which we have set at 1pm in Round Rock (just north of Austin). I'll Unsubscribe from this thread, so there is no more confusion on my part.

I had an idea of going over the cowboys stadium and get a cool group shot, but we'll just have to see how light it still is when we are done at tom's

hope i have time to wash the car before the meet... got all filthy from driving around in the rain.

 

whoever gets there first, ask the manager if it's ok if we park in the grassy area next to the street. It's a pretty cool display area.

I'll try calling when the day time manager is there, if he says to do that, I'll post something here by 3PM

talked to somebody there (not the manager) and they asked us to park out front, but not in the grass. Personally I'd rather find the least filled part of the parking lot to try to get everybody togeths, so we'll just have to see what happens when we all get there

That was a pretty good turn out today, Im not sure I even got to meet everyone. Had A great time and Tom's Burgers was pretty good too.

It was a lot of fun, but cold! We gotta do this again this spring when the weather is nicer!

 

That was a nice turnout, especially for such cold weather! Makes me wish I could have made it.

What's this I hear about free beer? Whoever managed that needs to be helping with the state wide meet!

 

that was a shock... I honestly didn't know when they said that ifthey were serious or not

 

you guys need to be more observant... it was written on that stack of 'specials' cards on each table. they dont have a liquor license, so they just give it away. lots of places do that. Hooters in Arlington, NYPD in Euless are two i can think of off the top of my head.

it was PBR... i like PBR just fine, but a lot of people dont.

 

Great turn out indeed... as I stated on my our forums it was quite something to pull up and see a bunch of ThirdGens parked together. Threw me back a bit in time. Great turn out! Good location and thx for setting this up! GF and I had fun. got to meet new peeps and that is always a plus!

wish i could of been there ! never seen this much third gens in reality ... since its mostly 4th gens an 1st gens most of the time at car meets!!!
