I have original red custom cloth 1992 camaro seats, all the seats are good except for the drivers seat. I would either like to buy a new one with the same custom cloth pattern that came with the car or find a very nice seat cover solution to go over all the seats so it looks uniform.
Anyone know where I can pursue either of those options?
If at all possible it would be nice if there were seat covers that looked like the custom cloth option of my original seats.
Would this be considered torch red madrid velour and encoure velour style/color seats?
I may just end up re-upholstering the seats to get the best original look, but need to know what color and style to order. This is the color and style of the seats I have now, but don't know what it's called.
That's not my interior lol. Just the same color and style seats I have, same cloth pattern and all, so I was needing to know what that was called, madrid velour and encore velour? Torch Red? Yea that interior is clean, which is what I'm going after lol. I didn't even notice those door panels until you said something!!! Those are nice, if anyone else recognizes those and knows where to get them, I'd be interested.
I got new seat covers from Classic Industries. I believe you would need the Delux Encore/ Madrid Velour ones. Here are the ones I got Black and Silver.
Here are my front seats, one finished the other not.
This may be a remedial question santiclause lol but did tou check the VIN/RPO Codes for the exact OEM color? I ask because I believe it MAY be called Carmine Red? At least I read that somewhere here in a thread when looking for a red Driver Seat for my 92...
Yes I looked at the RPO codes and all I found was it said interior was Red CC or something that stood for custom cloth I guess, it said my codes were this:
73C - only thing I could find that delt with interior color.
and exterior WA8774 - which I think stands for Bright Red.

Those are super close, it looks like the lines in the fabric might be different but it's close. What were the options you chose for those seats?

I'll take a look at SMS thanks!
Those are Firebird door panels and possibly a Firebird steering wheel as well, I can't tell from the angle
Just wanted to say that if you can find seats in the same color, a good upholstery shop can use the fabric from the back seats and the front passenger seat to completely re-upholster a new front driver's seat. This is the way I went as all my seats were in good shape except for the driver's. After it was done, the driver's seat matched the other's perfectly with no question and it ended up costing me about $375 ($200 for the seats I purchased, and $175 for the upholstery shop labor). Plus I have plenty of spare factory fabric in my attic if I ever need a future repair/recover.
