The Infl Rest light is on solid in my 27K mile 1990 IROC.
Looking for information on how to diagnose the problem.
Searching the web and this site,I'm not finding much.
I also found some stuff talking about the "clock spring" as being a usual problem but couldn't find if 1990 had it
I know this is the first year of the airbag in a Camaro and probably most cars.
Can you explain why this feels like such Taboo.
I'm putting this car on the road after 14 years and would like to get everything working again.
I’m going to have to come up to speed on the lingo.
I’ve been working on my 73 for the last 10 years getting it to the point of being able to drive it. Now it’s time to bring the 90 back to all its glory.
I’m sure I’ll be having many more questions and glad to have this site for the knowledge it brings.
Checked for codes
Got code 24
Steering column voltage to low
I have the service manual and it warns about what kind of volt meter to use.
Can I use my standard volt meter to check for issues, don't want to deploy the airbag ??
Pulled the steering wheel and checked the clock spring.
It had good continuity.
That would have been too easy.
Service manual says to start checking all the wiring for damaged or broken wires.
Way to much disassembly involved to test all the wiring.Car has never been in a accident and interior wiring hasn't been touched.
Pulled the bulb since I was partially in to the dash already.
Will deal with this issue when I have much more time as this repair is going to be very time consuming.
