Looking for 17084205 Q-jet carburetor
Hi,
Looking for a 17084205 Quadrajet carb. These were on 1984 L69 cars w/ manual transmission. Doesn't need to be perfect - planning to rebuild it.
If you have one available - please let me know.
Thanks!
John

Hi Kauboy - I'm not familiar with that carb number. What year/engine would it be from?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Checked my notes again it's # 17054922 Googled it looks like it's for a 77 truck motor when i bought it the guy said it was a 750 CFM. This carb is new never been run. i took it apart to check look inside. then put it in storage.

He needs an E4ME computer-controlled carb, not an M4ME manual carb.
If you really can't find anything, I have one pulled from a running 87 Monte Carlo SS on the shelf.
I will check the number.

Re: Looking for 17084205 Q-jet carburetor
Hi,
Yes, I do need an E4ME carb. *Ideally* I would like the 17084205 as that's the exact carb that should go on my car. There are carbs from '85 and '86 that would also work - 17085203, 17085207 (would need to switch secondary rods), 17086040 and 17086005 (would need to switch secondary rods). But the 17084205 would be my first choice. Haven't seen any of those available as it's for the L69 w/ manual trans, which wasn't that common in 1984.
Kauboy and NoEmissions84TA, thanks for your help.

Re: Looking for 17084205 Q-jet carburetor
I have:
1708 7129 87 Monte SS carb - willing to sell
and
1708 4208 already modified for the ZZ3 350 engine conversion package
this one is my backup spare for my current engine - I have to keep this one.

Re: Looking for 17084205 Q-jet carburetor
Hi NoEmissions84TA,
Thank you for the offer. I think I'll wait and see if I can find a 17084205. I do have a 17084201 that I can rebuild and use if it comes down to it. I'd really like to have the right # carb on the car though.
Best,
John
