Skoons Subframe

I recently picked up a Skoons subframe designed to work with C5 suspension, 5thgen center section for our cars. This looks very well built and thought out to work with factory components

Re: Skoons Subframe

Let me get this right.

It's $2,800.00 for the Skoons IRS subframe kit, you have to source and buy a used C5 Vette rear suspension setup and a 5th gen Camaro differential, then buy a $2,000.00 set of custom CV axels from The Drive Shaft Shop.

Then you have to do all the work needed to install this kit or pay a professional to do the work to install it or you can pay the guys that make this conversion kit $2,900.00 to do the installation.

Then you got to do something for a fuel tank it looks like and a custom exhaust system adding even more money to the total.

A guy wouldn't be to far away money wise to just buy a C5 Vette.

Re: Skoons Subframe

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the install and how it feels. Debating on going this route or the Quadralink from DSE.

Re: Skoons Subframe

Do you have any plans on upgrading the front suspension? Maybe a C5 front conversion to compliment the C5 rear? Something to think about.

Re: Skoons Subframe

I will add this is alot of work to drill out all the spot welds and remove the factory plates that hold all the original suspension in. I also purchased a rear mini tub kit that was not required to do this install but i figured while i was in there try to clear the max wheel tire possible
