1984 trans AM door window/regulator down stop
Some time ago, there was thread about the door glass bump stop on the regulator that had failed due to age. There was no direct replacement, but some owners had devise a solution.
can anyone direct me to the thread. I have tried searching but with no lucK

I recall THIS thread from last year, going over swapping a 4thgen window regulator assembly into a thirdgen, which you might want to consider if you're planning to overhaul the whole system. A quick search also lead me to THIS thread, which I reckon may be the one you were thinking of (bump stop replacement only)

Yes, that second one is the thread I'm familiar with. @Drew came up with that remedy. He used to sell them through the forum also IIRC.
