A friend of mine in the car dealer business came across a 88 GTA cheap and told me about it. I was (am) thinking about using it for a parts car, but I went and lookedf at it today and it looks pretty good. A few missing parts like 1 taillight and a few dings. Nice interior and nice 16" Boyd rims. Its missing the T/A hood and has a Formula hood, BUT it has the air-intake box under the scoop and a grill on it(looks all factory) Rear disc-brakes, So I bought it...

This prolly isnt the right place to post this, but I had to tell ya'll about my find I can't wait to get it home and clean it up and see if its worth restoring??

Peace

I payed 1000.00 for it, I was originally buying it for the rims ( I have 2 bent rims on my car) and the seats. But the car really isnt in bad shape so Im not sure what Im gonna do with it yet.

It runs good, has a 305 TPI and was a 5 speed, but someone put a 700R4 in it. It still has the clutch pedel.....lol

guess you can act like your shifting .$1000 does not sound too bad. i was looking for one w/ a 350 in it though so im not too disappointed. plus this guy that i talked to a couple weeks ago called me today saying he is trying to sell his 89 GTA again, so hopefully that'll go through. wish me luck.

jacob

p.s. good luck w/ your new car.

First of all...of course this is the right place to post
Congrats on the new car! That sounds like a killer deal!
You should fix it up & put a 6-speed / 350 in there

Does it have the aerowing (wrap around) spoiler? If so, any cracks in it? Mine has the typical cracks in the corners, so I would like to replace it.

I know this is an old post but I need a formula hood. Are you still selling parts? Do you have the formula hood?

Re
Hey guys. I have a complete GTA front end and ground effects if anyone needs them! I bought all the sheetmetal from the GM parts house - even the signal lamps and grill inserts. I have a complete SLP exhaust system including coated 1 3/4" headers, dual cats and 3" out the rear!!!! A decent black/charcoal '91 RS interior too. I'm parting out Frankenbird. The frame is broken at the firewall. The TPI motor and 6-speed are now in an '84 S-10 truck. LOTS of parts. If you need anything, let me know. tautrey(@)sbcglobal.net Sorry, but I can't ship anything. North Texas/DFW area.

Thanks,

-TA
