Anyone here from Oklahoma City. There is a very good chance I will be relocating there by the summer. Can anyone tell me about the area and weather? Does it snow a lot? My car doesn't like snow! Hi 88txiroc!

Good, just waiting for this SWAP to be approved. Would you believe I applied for a special duty and didn't get it. Now I'm trying to find some fellow TGO people to hang with in Oklahoma City.

I'm coming from Arizona, so I think I will be ok with the heat. I'm planning on fixing my A/C when I get there. Nothing like a black car with black leather seats!

Hey! Well... it's currently out of service and has been for about 6 months. I am swamped with senior design classes this semester, so the car has definetly taken back-seat priorities. I tore into the car over Christmas break and removed the trans and tweaked the governor to raise the shift points. The spohn crossmember came down and the loop was modified so that I could tuck up the exhuast better. The mufflex y has been cut apart and I will be ordering new bends and a new 4" dynomax bullet. I also tore into the wiring, relooming and resoldering all factory splices and hiding all of the wiring in the process. I received the polished parts back from Michael Overstreet months ago, but I still have yet to reinstall the plenum, valve covers, billet wire loom, etc. The distributor and plug wires have been detailed but need to be installed. I also made a bracket that holds my autometer tach in the factory location and modified the cluster for it. The ford nine is ready to be picked up during the first days of spring break in Memphis, TN. I'll be shipping off the 10bolt to Florida to another member while I'm in TN. Needless to say, I've got a lot on my plate. If anyone wants to visit/help with meals paid over spring break, I definetly need the help. I'll hopefully get everything buttoned up and running by the end of spring break, but there will be some intense work days if that's to happen. That's the update... ttyl!

HI

Okc is ok i guess but compared to Arizona heat this place is alittle less HOT,mostly in the 90's to 100's during the summer. But be prepared for those Oklahoma storms my 82 t/a almost got wrecked when a tornado passed by and almost made a tree fall on it. I'm almost ready to go out and buy bubble wrap for my car so no hail can touch it I love my t/a that much.Well let us now when your coming man we can all meet I feel alone around hear not many 3rd Gen's around here. And heres some advise the guys at cofba are s.o.b's they really don't care about you unless you have a 4th gen thats what they mostly run.I mentioned the word knight rider and all hell broke loose BEWARE

Well I will hopefully be runnin' my car just about every weekend at Thunder Valley. Also, Kerry (Hg) and I plan on going to several shows over the summer. We'd definetly like to have you! I will be working for Boeing which is right by Tinker AFB. Kerrry and I both live in the Del City area which is the OKC suburb where Tinker resides. I am guessing you'll establish residence within a short distance from Tinker so we'll all be within a few minutes apart.
PS- If you get a nice garage I'd be MORE THAN HAPPY to rent a garage space from you!

Yeah, I've heard about them treating thirdgens like the redheaded stepchilds.... I know when JMatlock88, some of his friends, IROCof88, and I went out to their meet spot awhile back, didn't seem like many people talked to us from what I recall... that place was jam packed with 4thgens.

I am in COFBA and they aren't so bad. Bernie used to have a badass 3rd gen till he got in a wreck and they had to pry him out with the jaws of life. They are right there are not many third gens at all in COFBA and it is 4th gen orientated but they aren't so bad once you get know them. It would be nice to have JUST a third gen club in OKC but no one has really stepped up to start one. I do know living on the northside that there aren't any shops that JUST do third gens so good luck with that. By the way my name is Amanda. can't wait to have ya. We need ALL the 3rd gens we can get! hehe......

I'm here!!! Don't care too much for the humidity though. Is there any gatherings that I should be aware of coming up? I just need to get a battery then I'm ready to go!

Hey HG...what color is that on your Camaro? Where did ya get it done?

Yes! I'm in the Del City area until the 6 Aug-- how do you like it so far? I haven't been running the car like I originally planned. Matter of fact, I haven't even touched it.

Let me know if you want to get together sometime.

PS: Keep your eye open for a steel floor car hauler!

Does anyone get together on a regular basis around here? My car should be good to go on the 1st.

Scratch that. Now it looks more like it will be the 1st of SEP!
