Having a problem with brakes and other crap
I got a new problem, we where checking the brakes out and when we took of the caliper the car lost alot of brake fluid and we had to replace it. Anyways I overfilled it a little and it was leaking, I really did'ent worry much about it,just figured it would leak out and that would be the end of it. Anyways It started smoking like crazy that sameday and overheating, the second fan kept on turning on. At first I thought it was just that brake fluid that had leaked burning off the heads and **** so I dried it off and did'ent drive the car till the next day. It gave me no problems the next day. But today it started to do it again, I think the deal that holds up the little tray where you put in the brake fluid is the think that is actually leaking could that be it? How do I find out? Also could the steam be tricking the car into thinking its the actual engine overheating and causing the second fan to turn on? It must of turned on and off about 4-5 times, and that was after it stoped smoking/steaming.

You're either gonna have to learn how to work on your car or find a mechanic close by! That stuff does not fix itself and does not go away with time!

The first thing is to remove the rad cap (when cold or not under pressure) run the car (idle) and see that the water is full and moving. Replacing the thermostat with a 180 or 190 would help, but the way your system is dedigned the primary does not turn on until over 215/220 and the seconday turns on at around 230 (I think). The secondary also is supposed to come 100% of the time when A/C is on. U can get a sensor switch to replace the stock one that turns on the fan at a loewr temp or do what a lot of people do and ground the green wire with the tracer stripe from the cooling fan relay switch that makes it nd/or both fans run 100% of the time.
If U are getting smoke something is leaking--it depends on where it's coming from. Is the brake fluid level going down? Is the water level going down? Is the oil level level going down? Where is the smoke coming from? Could it be a valve cover gasket? Did it ever smoke before U messed wih the brakes?
First U have to determine where it is leaking from and figure out why it's leaking.
No. the steam will not fool the engine into thinking it's hot.
Remember I told U a few weeks ago to learn how to use the search feature? It sound like now is the time to use it. Everything I just told U , I know because I have done searches on this board and know what I know from reading it here. There is a whole section devoted to cooling problems. GET BUSY!

Well, Don't keep us hanging--what was it?
Part of the thing with this board is that we learn from each others experiances! If somebody goes to the trouble of typing out a big long answer to a post like yours, we want to hear in detail what the problem was and what ws done to fix it--No matter what it was --no mater how simple the fix!

Well
Well for the steam and **** that was just the brake fluid that we spilt on the heads and stuff, after i got that dried off really good it stoped doing that and as for the "overheating" problem it just needed a little water.
we did'ent find any major break problems, we never got around to taking apart the rear axle and pulling out the disc. Overall my brakes for some reason started working better after we took the caliper apart and some of the fluid spilled out and then we replaced, who knows what it was ,maybe it just need some brake fluid. My brakes are working fine now. I would like to see how the brakes on some other thirdgens grip tho, that will for sure let me know that mines are normal. Anyways I guess we will get all that crap sorted out at the meet.

May have been just bleeding the brakes? Did U u do all 4 corners?
As well, brake does absorb moisture, which makes it less effective as far as hydralic pressure.
If U had a brake fluid leak, some of the pressure is disappated and brakes are worse.
