long shot

It's a long shot asking, but I'll ask anyway.

I am looking for 1 tire to pass my state inspection. The tires in the rear are 255/50/16. I only need one because the other rear tire has only about 15K on it (if that). The problem is that Discount does not carry this size (or brand, Phantom) anymore. My dilema is either buying two new 245/50/16 for the rears (the sizes have to match on both sides of the axle) or try and find a good used 255/50/16. I tried to buy a new Falken 255/50/16, but it is on backorder with no eta for availability.
If anybody has a 255/50/16 for sale thats in good enough shape to pass the inspection, send me a PM and we can talk it over.

Thanks all

Thanks for the offer dude, you rock.
But don't worry, I won't ask you to go through that inconvienece (SP?)

I guess I'll just hit up the local used tire racks. I found one guy on e-bay that has a Houston area tire shop and has what appears to be 1 decent tire (Michelin). The crappy thing is that the used tire is gonna cost me about $75.00 I think it's a little bit on the high side since the new Falken, with certificates and lifetime balance was gonna cost me $90.00. Oh well, such is life.

W'sup Steve! It's been a while since we last spoke. I stand a real good chance of making the next meet, so hopefully I can catch up with you and Arron.

Peace

I probabally won't make the next meet, and chances are, Aaron won't either. Aaron didn't even make the meet that was right near his house. I tried calling, but was unable to reach him. He did want to come though, but he no longer peruses the boards and is completely out of the loop.

I work weekends, so it makes it kinda tough for me to make the meets that are across town. Hell, I was even late for the meet that was a block from my house.

I have 2 Like new 255/50/16 Phantom ZR's. They have 2,000 - 3,000 miles on them. I took them off when I put the BFG drag radials on.

I like the Phantom's, they are badass tires! Same tread pattern as the old school BFG ZR's, but they hook better than BFG's because the Phantom's are made out of a softer compound. I don't think you can buy them anymore (discontinued maybe?)..

PM me with offer if interested.

Thanks everyone. I did get lucky and found a pretty good 255/50/16 Gatorback tire mounted for $40.
Not a bad deal I guess.
