HRP Friday Night, 11/18

Hey guys, I plan to hit HRP again this Friday night. If you'd like to hook up let me know when and what you're driving. I usually park in the pits back near the concession stand area, somewhere near some lights. Red 89 Formula. I usually get there early, but willing to hang all night. The weather looks GOOD!

Cell: 281-636-4981. Dave.

Postscript: All Right folks, conditions don't get much better than this. Come on out!

We have designated this Friday night as the official warm-up/practice night at HRP, for the Houston Fastest Thirdgenner portion of the 2005 Fall Brawl.

If U need some practice, need to try new stuff, or just plain don't have a whole lot of drag strip experience, and need to learn the ropes, come on out and join us."

With this cold weather, I am predicting U will run about 3 tenths quicker--maybe more!

If U ran 14.75 last time, U should be in the 14.40 range--maybe even 14.30's

With the colder track temps, the slicks may not hook up as good --try the 32 like U said, but U may need to go back down to 25 or 20 lbs. Also depends on how good they prep the track.

Should have new TQ arm and LCA's in by tomorrow. Air tank is pressed up, so get to play with pressures. And the weather is COOL, I'm really looking forward to this.

Man I'd like to go, but just not sure of what's going on yet.

Don't hold your breath, but don't be surprised if I do showup.

Oh Yeah, I'm all for that! The weather is great, come out and run. The Modding party is the next day, so come fix / change / discuss what didn't work right. No better test than a blast down the 1/4 mile. (i think this little guy has a ratchet shifter!)

Any of you young guys / 1st timers, this is a great time to come out and learn. I'd be glad to talk / walk you through any stage out there. It is WAY more informal than you might think. I was intimidated as all heck the first time I staged a year ago.....Got over that QUICK! It's a blast, and I guarantee you'll enjoy it whether you run or not.

I'd love to go......but my car won't be running yet.

Hope to make it out there on Sunday to get some shake-down runs in, but we'll see, even that may be pushing it.

David, don't forget to leave the tool box and spare tire / jack at the house!

Also, I think those slicks are bogging your car down and making harder for the motor to get the car out of the hole.

I think there is still a 14.30 in her.

Just my

Yeah Mike, I'm sure that time or better is in there. And going to start at full pressure, then work my way down. Will have a support vehicle there tonight, the Mrs. is bringing out the 9 year-old grandson, he always has a blast out there. So for anyone coming out, a red 89 Formula and black 04 Marauder. 281-636-4981.

Looking forward to the little old "shack lady" to tell me I need a helmet!

When that time does come, remember "Helmet Wharehouse" somewhere over there in Pasadena. Supposed to be the biggest selection around--all price ranges.

So, is anybody besides Wheelspin (maybe me) going out to HRP tonight?
