We should make a flyer

I recall a year or so ago someone making a real nice flyer for one of our meets so we could distribute it to other thirdgeners that we see out in our community. I have been seeing a lot of thirdgens parked on my side of town and I have been leaving them notes with info about the meet. I think it would really help increase the turnout and get more people hooked on this site if we had someone design another flyer. I would do it if I had a clue how to make a nice one. Does anyone think they could do it? I will try to make one when I get back in town if no one volunteers.

Re: We should make a flyer

Great idea man, everytime i see a third genner(in a nice car) i ask them if they have any knowledge of the site and upcoming meet. Would be nice to have somthing to give them, as a reminder so when they see it laying around the car/house they think about it.

Yeah, well I see them in parking lots all over my nieghborhood and it would be real easy to just slip the flyer underneath the windshield wiper blade and go if you cant talk to them.

Great idea on the flyers. Over here in Deer Park there are plenty of third gens about. Was down u pick u pull and saw a couple of other camaro owners scavenging over the third gens told them about the meet in December.

Re: We should make a flyer

Looks good but check the .ORG and trophies. Also include the gentleman from the San Antonio area. Those members will be there to remember him as well. We could also go with two different flyers. Just an invite to the meets or the site and the other to the Dec. meet. Sorry to impose but jsut thought I would throw in some ideas. I also wil be trying to make it this time. I would also like to look into some meeting place for the weekends. Fri/Sat. They are so sporatic and I think it would be cool to some consistency at certain places. Different thread but though I would throw that in as well.

Re: We should make a flyer

i think it need to include a firebird on the left side, so camaro and firebird would point to the middle. Looks good tho

Re: We should make a flyer

Yes include us San Antonio people as well. We have some 60+ members and we have been trying to get as many to go as possible.

If you all dont mind, we can also invite the other club in town with 4th gens, those guys love to cruise.

I like the look of the flyer, just needs some typos fixed.

Re: We should make a flyer

Sorry guys, I have kind of dropped the ball on this. I got sidetracked with work I just sent Rob an email to see where he is at on getting a functional flyer to me. He has probably been swamped with work as well. I will try to get some resolution on this thing by the end of the day. If worse comes to worse I can just whip up a simple flyer without picturs that will at least give everyone details.

Re: We should make a flyer

sorry guys I was not checking the posts, I've been busy. What you need to do is send me a message and i'll be sure to get it. So I have corrected the mis-spellings, I need a picture of a members firebird to put on the left if thats what you want. I'm not sure what you mean about adding "Also include the gentleman from the San Antonio" I am doing this now so if any one can send ASAP I'll have it done.

Re: We should make a flyer

This is not the 2nd annual December gathering....

It's like the 5th or 6th for some of us that have been arround here for awhile.

The 1st one was at Hooters on 1960 @ I-45 and I "think" that was in 2001 or 2002.

Re: We should make a flyer

Yeah, we are addressing that problem. This is either my 3rd or 4th winter meet. I think we decided to just go with annual winter meet with no number. Thanks again for putting this together Rob.

The gentleman's name was Daniel Fortuna, he was a good friend and member of us San Antonio 3rd Gen guys. He was there at the beginning and passed away in September.

yevgen, your car would be fine to put on the flyer I think. It's a nice looking car and it's pretty close to stock form. Most thirdgens i've seen are usually in stock form anyway.

That was the first "official" one at least. We had quite a few un-official ones before that too.
