We need a new moderator for this board!
I think it's time we get ahold of the site administrator and request that one of us take over the moderator duties for the South Central Region board.
Although I'm sure I could handle this, I'm not nominating myself for the spot.
I think ESC would be a good moderator.
Everyone post who they think should be the moderator (even if it is yourself) and we'll take a vote at the end of the month. If the winning person still want's the job, I and others will present that to the admin and we'll see if the change could be made.
Rest in peace Zap.....
Thoughts?

Re: We need a new moderator for this board!
A while back, I pointed out to the boards administrators that we no longer have a moderator and received no responce.
I didn't go as far as suggesting a candidate for the position.
I hope that, if the members go so far as to vote on potential candidates, the boards new owners will be willing to listen.
Mike, thank you for the nomination. If the other members feel I am suitable, I would be honored to take on the responsability of being a moderator.

Man, i sent them a email to be a mod, i told them the situation too. I still have no response. Kina sucks, i woulda atleast liked to get a "Heck no" rather than nothing at all, i am sure they are busy though, guess we can keep trying.

Re: We need a new moderator for this board!
First, I just want to say thank you for all the votes of confidence I have received.
I'm a little surprised that there weren't even any other nominee's.
But what ever.
Finally I sent a PM to IROCZTWENTYGR8, who is the only site admin I could find, suggesting that he read this thread, but I got no reply.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a response from the people in charge of this site?

We are aware of the issue and I'm actually looking into it. Understand that we don't immediately say a Yes or No.
As well, a vote isn't exactly the way we work. We like input. However, it is the staff that makes the final decision. We are the ones that have to work together. Understand that we attempt to ensure we pick the right/best person for the team. We have a lot of long-term moderators.
Thanks.

Re: We need a new moderator for this board!
When I looked on the Web site comments forum, under the "Important" section the first think I noticed was IROCZTWENTYGR8 Administrator. You are right, if I had looked more carefully I would have seen you are listed as the webmaster.
I understand that the decision is your to make. To tell you tthe truth, I don't really care that much WHO you choose. But it would be nice if someone where choosen.
I'm just happy to know that you are aware of the situation and hope that a decision will be made soon.
Thank you for your prompt reply.
P.S. While you're here, could you make the announcements about this Saturdays meet sticky? Thanks!

Please don't think we're ruling anyone out here. I was just saying that a vote alone is generally not enough. There's more factors involved as well.
I've also stuck the thread that you requested.
In the meantime, until there is a new moderator in place, feel free to PM or email me with any issues in this forum that need attention.
Thanks.

JT - we need the December gathering sticky taken down, please sir.
Also, please take my recomendation of making ESC a moderator for this board into consideration. He is a great guy and is always on this board daily. He could take care of things here 100%.
Thanks,
Mike (1bad91Z)
