I just checked my status, and I signed up on July 11th, 1999. Man that was a long time ago!

Since having my IROC, I sold it
got an 11 second flat 89 firebird
traded that for a 93 turbo mustang
sold it, bought a 94 stroker z28 convertable which caught fire
then got a blown/stroked 89 GT
had an 84 mercedes
another 89 iroc in there somewhere
98 SS
98 WS6
another 98 WS6 vert
and an 01 Vette.

I'm probably missing something in there somewhere! It has been nearly 2 years since I have had a fun car, but I am still keeping it all together

I would sure love to get my old IROC back someday though. I remember when I spent countless hours researching parts and 1/4 mile times here. Posting drag racing stories, etc. How my car got stolen, recovered, got a new paint job, keyed, another paint job, bought a super ram intake, sold it, bought a mini ram, took it back, then bought a supercharger and was done with it. There was a time 10 years ago when all I owned was in that car.

 

Yea, i have a few third gens, had a bunch of other rides but the third gens are what i like, dont see them around here like mine. The ones i see are stock and decent or straight junk.

 

I don't even see mine on the road yet so I couldn't say although I haven't relly seen any around lately... not like i used too.. My gf and I have been talking about moving out to conroe though...

 

I think you are the only other (still currently active) July 99 member I've found. Found 1 August 99 & a few later.

But the whole site was reset then, so the July 99 isn't quite the beginning of TGO.
