Re: Local Houston TX, if you going to swap

BTW, these are prototype pieces that will be soon available like mine or with power steering, using the OE alternator and PS pump makes life allot easier. Not to mention using the WAY easier to find truck water pump and lower pulley.

If you use the truck AC compressor that is actually smaller than the car compressor, yes, as long as there is room for it by the K member. This whole kit is oriented around the truck accessories that are WAY easier to find. Instead of finding a LS1, you can now get a 4.8/5.3/6.o from a truck and not have to worry about finding the F body accessories, and you can re use the stock alternator and power steering pump.

Re: Local Houston TX, if you going to swap

Nice! I didn't know the truck compressor would fit with the stock K member in the car, I was under the impression it was either 300 dollars for a billet braket to retain the stock one, or 400+ for a k-member to use the 4th gen stuff.

Re: Local Houston TX, if you going to swap

No, there is a kit that you use to cut out the spot where it hits and weld it in on the stock K member, think someone said it might fit with the Spohn motor mounts too.

designed to work with truck ac compressor if ur kmember area will allow. uses stock truck bracket, tensioner and belt. fittings and lines are mostly gonna have to be custom. but the actual compressor and bracket are gm parts.

will fit under stock hood with efi ls manifold.

Great news man! Intake is a LS1 victor Jr from Edelbrock for the carb conversion on the GEN III motors.

stock manifolds not gonna work with stock kmember and those mounts u have. unless u go with tubular kmember.
the manifold i got pictured is made from stainless. and use 98-02 stock manifold on driver side with 2.5 xover to the turbo manifold

prolly best bet is a weld up tube kit. those mounts u got are limiting to use stock parts. maybe some gto manifolds. thing about most stock manifolds is hard to get good welds on cast iron. not saying cant be done, but may crack with time. the dam triangle flanges on most all stock ls manifolds get in the way 90% of the time.

also i get around .5 between kmemebr and fbody pan. and almost .75 with truck pan. im gonna use the truck pan. for now. with those mounts and stock rubber inserts.

Re: Local Houston TX, if you going to swap

Well, i was going to use the stock flange on the manifold and weld to that(where the stock exhaust pipe is). Actually use the pipe that comes on the manifold.
