SWMG !

The gathering date is finally set for 9/14-15.
Friday nite (9/14) we will all meet around 6-8pm at the Texas Motorplex to run the 1/4mi.
Saturday morning we will meet at the Ballpark in Arlington TX. If we can get there by 9am, there should be enough room for all the cars in the back of the West parking lot. If not, then we should be in the East parking lot. If anyone has trouble finding it, I have a cell phone. Just e-mail me at JasonZZ3@cs.com and I'll give you the number.
I think several others here also have a cell, so post the #'s if you want.
After the swapmeet we can all go out to eat, or have a cookout at a park.
Just post a reply here letting us know if youre coming to the gathering, and if you would rather go out to eat, or have a B-B-Q.

Thanx!
See you all soon!

-Jason

This itenerary looks good to me. At present, I should be able to attend the weekend's festivities. It's already cleared with my "homefront bosses" here....

I had hoped for a trip to TMS's September Charity Laps as well, but a friend's cancer surgery is going to prevent that anyway.... so this weekend it is!

I haven't been able to make a SWMG in a while; I'm looking forward to seeing you all again....

Damn! I have two weddings to try and attend on the 15th. Well, looks like I'm shooting for a spring SWMG. Have fun guys, I was hoping to make it but I was just informed last week of a wedding on the 8th and two on the 15th I have to attend so there's just no way.

I should be there.

I'll bring both cars too. Although I'm not opening the hood of the Iroc, it looks sad without a S/C.

the move is all final, I'm living in Arlington now. where's the street scene in the D/FW area? I drove around 30 and 35 today, didn't see anything, but I guess I wasn't looking very hard.

I'll be at the SWMG, the ballpark is like 3 blocks away.

Well depending on condition of my car, weather, money, etc, I might be down for both. Right now I still need 2 new tires, O2 sensor (either conencted properly or rerplaced), Vacume/Pressure problem resolved. If all that gets fixed, I will definatly want to re-run my car on the 1/4 mile, and hope it can redeem itself after it's extreamily poor performance last time! If not, but money's good, I will try and make it down for saturday.

All we're doing FRI nite at Ennis is racing.
Everything else is taking place Saturday.

IF we have a BBQ, it will probably be at a local park. Randol Mill park is where we held it last year, and it turned out great!
If not, then we will just go out to eat at a restaurant nearby.
The only thing we're doing at the ballpark is going to the swapmeet (from 9am until about noon). Of course we can take some pics, etc after lunch.

so why don't we have just a plain F-body meet, instead of a third gen F-body meet? or is it gonna be a total f-body meet? in other words, should i invite the 4th gen buddies to bring their cars?

Cody, you're a Zaino dealer correct? Now that my car looks like this...

(Yes, I like posting this picture)

...I'll need some Zaino for it. I'm not sure exactly what I need, as the paint is brand new and has not had any wax applied yet. If you could get back with me on what I need, I would love to be able to just purchase the stuff directly from you at the meet. Maybe we could turn part of this meet into a Zaino party

DAYUM... that is gorgeous! No, I'm not but my friend Zaino Steve is. He will be at the Swap Meet next weekend, or you can get yours before then, just call him 972.743.9443 and either drive up to Allen to get it or he'll have it shipped out the same day if you get ahold of him early enough.

Doubtful on the Zaino Party, we'll be at Tx Motor Speedway most of the weekend drinking and sleeping and watching races. heh... 84TAVert, his bro, my freind Beaver and I will be there sat morning tho, and probably can make it to Ennis fri night now.

Brad-

Also, you will need the following:

Z1 Pre Cleaner and Gloss Conditioner
Z2 or Z5 Polish, or both.
Z6 Gloss Enhancer Spray
Z7 Car Wash
Z18 Clay Bar

Z2 is Polish For Clear Coat. What I like to do on red paint is start with 3-5 coats of Z5 Polish For Light Scratches and Swirl Marks, then continue with Z2 Polish.

If you would like help with the application, I could either:

Polish the entire car for the friends and family rate of $70.

Help you for a reduced charge of $30.

Of course, I'm no 'Zaino Expert', I just have 2 1/2 years experience with the stuff and can help with most any questions you have.

Hey Cody, well, I definitely can't make SWMG, I'll see about 3 laps. Just driving my car up there is a pain in the *** cuz of the tranny & crappy gas mileage. If I do come for it, I won't be driving mine for 3 laps, cuz a bunch of stuff is fubared (tranny, front suspension, etc). If I came up it would be to hang out with you guys mainly (hey, I could ride with you around the track & take videos if you have a camera!) Me getting another f-body at this point in time is extremely doubtful. I still really can't afford the insurance on a 4th gen v8 car & I refuse to pay my own money to drive a v6 f-body around (no offense to v6 owners). They don't look good enough to me for me to drive one with a 6. Oh, don't worry, I sure as hell haven't forgotten about spring break! ttyl dude

well, i have a friend riding with me, but I'm sure someone will let you ride shotgun. If not, you guys can argue over who rides shotgun. All I know is that I'd really like to hit 120 easily this time I do have a digital camera that I'd like to have pics taken with.

Man, this sucks. I can't make it, I'm gonna try to do my motor swap that weekend. I'll be at the next one though.
