Bill, are you still out there somewhere? I grew up in Odessa and my brother still lives out there. There has been some talk about try to see if there is a chance of a W. Texas group starting out there. Let me know if you'd be interested. In the last few weeks I know I ran across a couple of other 3rd gen guys talking about what was going on in the Midland area. I'll see if I can't track them down and pass along any info to you if you want.

Hey guys. During the summers I am in houston at home, but during the school year I go to Texas Tech in Lubbock TX.

If you guys plan on having events and stuff during the year Id be glad to come, time permitting.

 

I'm out here in west texas, there's another guy out here in abilene, forgot his name though. That would be badass to have a west texas 3rd gen group.

 

That would be cool. Saw a bunch of guys parked in Permian Highs parking lot earlier, but couldnt get the time to stop. Looked to be half and half F & Fox body. At least one second gen camaro. Will try to get on more often. Keep me informed. Bill86Z

 

Do you go out to Davids salvage on Grape street? I get a lot of parts from him. He seems to have the best available parts in the area. I have no problem driving the hours just to walk his yard.

Yeah, I got a TPI setup from him about a year ago. Some of his stuff is kinda overpriced, just depends on how he feels that day I think. He's got a T56 out there with an LT1 and a 86 or so Vette with 30k on it.

 

Tried to buy the tpi from the vette, he wants to sell the whole motor. Are you the one who got the tpi off of the motor with the busted starter mount? If you are, you beat me to it by about 1 hr. Guess I should have driven a little faster that day.

 

Umm, I dunno the TPI I got from him was off of a wrecked 89Iroc with a 305 and it was less the MAF.

I just got my headers back from Odessa, John Wright did a ceramic coat on them for me. They look sweet!

Can't wait to get them and my Mufflex 4" on, and oh yeah my new motor in.
