I'm a 68W at Hood, coming back to that side of the country. I was at Stewart, loved the area, but wanted to get to Hunter. so I did 2 years in 1st Cav and now I'm on my way back in a few months. I have family in Jacksonville and Atlanta, so it's perfect for me.

 

Thats funny I spent 4 years at Stewart. I loved it there also really wanted to stay. I go to Hunter all the time. oh and im 11b. 68w is one mos ive always been really interested in especially after i took CLS.

 

Whats the word with the tower shops? You guys alive in So Flo still? I maybe have two months til I come home. Need a good mechanic shop that does race work and also maybe body and paint one day.

 

Supreme Auto in Naples does a bit of everything. Its a big place close to downtown Naples, I work there and cars from all over the world go there.

 

Just a reminder... Dec 18th, Plant City, Christmas Lights/car show, meeting at Freds @ 4pm for dinner 1st, a few Brandon/Lakeland F-bodys are getting together.

i just bought an 88 firebird formula i picked up this week for 1500

I dont know much about it but i do know it is a 5.7l with a 5speed manual. Holly650 carb with a high volume fuel pump, headman hedders with full 3"exhaust. and a .480 lift cam. And runs the quarter mile in 12 s.

Nice! Sounds like a great car for a great price! I just saw an IROC-Z 5.7 liter at the West Palm Beach junkyard. It was really depressing since the car has been stripped of almost everything as far as interior and engine. I think it's on death row within the next week. The entire floor pan had NO rust. There was no body damage. Even the engine bay looked clean. I thought this was a shame, and I am sick of seeing these cars at junk yards. I got even madder when I saw a few rows away a 1964 and 1965 Ford Thunderbird, and what looked like a very restorable still almost complete 1966 Chevy Corvair (nice blue) convertible. Really - Who junks these cars?

That's the only thing I hate about going to the junk yard, I'm always seeing the potential of those cars and some of them look better than mine lol

Newbie here

Just moved back to the Orlando area (Oviedo) after a few years out of state... and recently got my first Camaro, a '91 Z28 305 TPI hard top. Fun! As soon as we get more settled I plan to pick up another Gen 3, rolling chassis to play with, maybe another Z28 but with T's, who knows. Having a fun time working on the one we have, but the woman drives it more than I, and she breaks it a lot... So far, she's driven it into my van (minor), the Alt/Pwr steering bracket broke, EGR code (bad gasket), etc...

Thinking about hooking up with the Central Florida Camaro Club... any other good clubs around for Gen 3ers? Also toying with the idea of doing some Wednsday night cruises at Old Town, anyone done that?

 

turbok9 I am in the sanford area and there use to be alot going on but some clubs had problems and split of just fell apart and don't really have meets anymore. I would be down for a cruise but my camaro has a blown motor so im driving my slowrider till I get her fixed.

I'm watching this thread, not sure if I can make it or not, but considering it.. I just got my 86 TA back on the road after storing it for years.. Still looks like crap, and can't afford to do anything about that this year, but runs good.

No shes maroon red and has 2 10" kenwoods in the back no discolored fenders has a little blemish on the driver side door but all original color i got it for 1500 maybe we can meet up sometime. I have seen that one riding around though

 

I just sold mine on craigslist for 200.00. The guy I sold it to said he was going to sell it for parts. I was hoping he'd changed his mind and decided to rebuild it. Oh well. Wishful thinking on my part
