I bought my son a Ultra Blue '91 RS 305 T-5 last month for his 16th b-day.

I added chrome 17X8 IROC wheels and an IROC hood with Power Blisters.

BT283, you're only 25 minutes from me. NCGiant, I have lots of family in the Southern Pines area ... very nice part of the state. You'll enjoy it there (especially if you like golf).

EMTGuzman, my dad just picked up an '84 T/A T-Top for $600! It runs like a CHAMP, just needs paint and reupholstery. Brand new flowmaster cat-back system and sounds freakin' amazing. This guy was going to court on Tuesday morning, so he called on Monday and said he needed cash. He knew I loved T/As and told me he would take $1,200. I talked him down to $600, paid him and sold it to my dad for even money so he could have a good project car. Sometimes deals just hit you in the face like that.

BTW, we need to get together sometime ... any of us. Most of these big meets they talk about on these boards are Maryland, Ohio, Illinois ... I don't have the time to go to those. I also don't want to drive my car that far, and I'm definitely not going to trailer it.

BT283 ... you know where The Angus is on Hwy 70 toward Hildebran? I ate there on Friday and there is a really sweet Super Coupe across the street from it that you should check out if you go by there. It was in someone's driveway, so I don't know if it is their's or if it was a visitor ... but keep an eye out next time you drive by.

 

Yea i know where that is, its only a few minutes from my house. What color was it, and i will defenitly keep an eye out for it.

I'll probably go. My car is worthless on the Dyno (and I don't know if I will be dropping the top in late October) but I love any chance to see some other F-bodys.

 

yeah i probably will not do the dyno either just the show and the TnT. If you go and know a few other f-body guys that wanna go we should ride down together, it might be fun.

BT283 ... I just found out about the Trans Am Country Firebird show in Goldsboro on the same weekend as the FBMS show in Mooresville. I might try to make it to the Firebird show instead, but Mooresville is a heck of a lot closer! I'll keep you posted.

Just moved from Pittsburgh a couple of months ago. Work for Mercedes-Benz in Charlotte. Unfortunately my car is still in PA, I was going to sell the bird but I just can't part with, I have to go and get it soon I hope. It's a base model w/ L98, but I plan on making a faux Formula w/ Accel DFI.

 

I used to live in Pittsburgh! What part? I lived in Bridgeville, south of the city and just north of Canonsburg on 79. Lived there in 99 and 2000. Love that city. Reminds me a lot of Western NC (I'm close to the mountains here ... between Asheville and Hickory).

BT283, it looks like I'm not going to make the FBMS show in Mooresville on Oct. 21. Rooster-Bush Pontiac in Lenoir is having an All-Pontiac show and cruise on the same day. It's hosted by a GTO club and a Trans Am club. Since it is also my brother-in-law's 21st birthday (PARTY-TIME?), I think I will stick around and just go to the little Lenoir show.
