The car club im part of..Camaro South..is puting on our third show that benefits the Wounded Warrier Project this june. Last year the show had a great turn out. The police escourted cruise through town was very fun, especially with the nearly 200 cars that participated in it!

If any of you are part of the Camaro 5 forums you may have already seen the post for this show. There was a lot of 5th gens out there last year and not too many 3rd gens. I'd like to see that change this year and maybe have some more 3rd gens out there if possible.

Here is some more info for the show:
Friday
-Arrive at the hotel, check in at 3pm
-Cruise starts at 7pm, will line up at Cape Fear Harley Davidson (across the street)
-Auction starts following the cruise at the hotel
-Loudest exhaust with award
-Custom light show with awards after dark
-DJ onsite for parking lot activities
-Vendors if they wish to setup


Saturday
-All day at the track!
-Car and truck show with awards
-Test and Tune throughout the day
-Mobile dyno with highest HP award
-Bracket Race with top 3 awards and cash prize to winner (amount TBD)
-Raffle
-50/50 drawing
-Scott Settlemire will be here

I really enjoyed this show when I went before. I'll try and be there this year again. I believe that week is the same week as the Nascar Truck race at ElDora which I'm trying to go to but should be back in time. Just depends on how this old body feels. LOL

Thanks. It's still the same, maybe a few more stone chips and miles than before but that's about it. Well I did go with drilled and slotted rotors and painted the calipers. Looking forward to getting it on the track this time. Forgot my cell phone last time and was scared I may have problems. Hope to see you there.

Ill be there, a friend of mine has a red 3rd gen and he should be there, white gold 88 says that he will be going, and hopefully some other 3rd gens will show up that are in other clubs just not on this forum.

This was a great show last year and like I said I'm looking forward to some track time this time. I'll see if I can't get some of the Charleston crowd to make a road trip.

im one of the judges. so ill be there. supposed to be 60 different trophys for different classes, so this should be a good car show!

pbtrillogy, I met some of your club at the Gathering, can't remember names but they seemed like a good group of people as I expected from last years show. Can't wait till next week, hopefully all of that bad weather is done for a while. See ya'll then.

Had a great time as usual. Surprised to make top 50 so guess I need to thank the judges (Diabolical). Good to put a face with the name. pbtrilogy, there was someone there with a third gen that was looking for some grey armrests. I found my old ones and they aren't too bad of shape. If you know who it was that needed them let me know. I do need to check with one other person before giving them to someone else otherwise they are theirs.

no prob whitegold and its cool, well heard that the jacksonville guys are gonna have a car show for cancer which i may go to. i also may have a 350 by the end of this week. so next time this show happens i can put this thing on the track and have it all fixed. BIG plans lol. well im glad you guys had fun!
