We must gather again!!!
The time has come everyone. We have to have another gathering soon, the last one at ******* was awesome, I met new people and we all had a great time, it's about time we do it again.
We should plan a date a couple or few weeks from now so everyone can get the time off work to go. We can have another BBQ at a park & take pictures, or go to SIR and have a blast, or even both!
If anyone wants to hang out sometime this week just to kick it I'm in.
I cruised speedway last night and a week ago hoping to see anyone familiar but I didn't even see one Camaro, just sexxy chicks staring at my Camaro
, anyways lets do this.
Any ideas are greatly open, whos in!

BBQ!
We could do it again. The last one was fun, but kinda late cuz of SIR. Lets do the BBQ thing at a park or something. I would be willing to go and bring the family. I'm sure that Willie, Chris and Eric would go, too. What about the 29th or 30th of this month? It is still two weeks away, but plenty of time to plan. Thomas

The weekend of the 29th is not a good one for me. It's the weekend of my daughter's birthday sleep-over party.
I have an idea. The following week is the 4th (Thursday). For those of us who'll still be in town, let's go racing on the Friday the 5th and have a cookout on Saturday evening... I might be willing to have it at my house again.... Opinions?

That is a great idea Willie!
So who else is interested in going, lets make this a big one!
If everyone was to bring something "buns, soda, meat" We can have a great BBQ, we just have to figure out who is going to go so if you are interested reply, if you have other ideas go ahead and post them.
88aziroc:
I would really like to hang out with you and get to know you better since we wre the ones that were supposed to meet int he first place lol. I tried to go to SIR when you and willie went but I couldn't.
Maybe we can get together and work on our cars or even have a little race

That would be a great time to go, except on the 5th I have a wedding to attend in Las Vegas. If I can weasle my way out of it, I'll be at the get together! The last one was a lot of fun.

it probably was me, I was literally driving like 35-40 just to see if I could find someone. I have never seen your ride and i'd like to see it. I most definatly would have raced you!
Man, Willie, I forgot about the B-day party. Sorry about that. The weekend of the 4th is good for me. I get off on the 4th at 12 and dont work the rest of the weekend. I think that it would be a good time for most of us.

We could hang out sometime. I am always working on my car, but usually at *******. I dont think I will be racing anyone on the street. Being a cop in the Air Force, I would get in a lot of trouble if I got caught!
When I am on Speedway (rare), people always want to race me and I tell them to meet me at SIR for a real race!
Willie
I am trying to get this Friday night off so I can go to SIR and test out the new ECM w/ 92 and octane boost to see where we are. It feels sooooo much better. A lot more responsive. Thomas

You probably would've beat me too.
My tires are so worn that I'm pulling 2.26 60 foots again. I never ran faster than 15.1 the whole time I was there.
Anyone have some 16" Iroc wheels (rear) for sale cheap?

Well, there's a lot of ridiculous drama between the 5 people that are supposed to go, but as of today I'm going. Could be different tomorrow, who knows.
I won't race until I find some wheels for the Hoosiers I got from Willie. I actually kick the rear out a pretty decent distance when I hit second, and my 60-foot times are embarassing. Run faster than a 15.05 in 100 degree heat and ya got me beat.
When I ran last Friday, I found out I'm running *RICH* in WOT. My O2 voltage actually went to 1 full V a few times at the end of the run, and I'm getting knock retard for about a 1/8 mile. So my car really isn't race-worthy right now. I need to mix some 100 octane gas for it and tune down my PE fuel after I get wheels for the Hoosiers.

Well, I did run a 15.01 corrected at 100* last time with a bad ECM! Look out, low 14's, here I come! LOL
I hope you can make it for the next BBQ.
Has anyone made plans on where to have it? Are there any good local parks that is kinda' central for everyone?

what times do you think I would be getting corrected synapsis with the mods I have? I hope I would be in the 14's at least?
I do not know of any parks that would be all around, how about purple heart park right by ******* house? that would be a nice spot.
p.s. I started taking the clear coat off my rims today and spray painted them black. they look so much better!

I think a 305 is only about a 15-20 horsepower difference from a 350, so I assume you'd run 14's corrected. Maybe 12's with the new paint on your wheels.

And I should run 9's if I add chrome lug nuts!
I would be happy to at least run high 14's but I wont set myself up for disapointment, hell, anythings better than running 17-18's... ah the memories LOL.

You guys are WAY too concerned with 1/4 miles times......what you should really be talking about is MPH, thats where the power is at, that is what you REALLY feel when you punch the gas. I say this because I can't afford good tires so all my cars run super high MPH with ****ty times
I can't tell you how many cars I've raced on the street and blown them away after having them run faster at the track because of better tires. Just ask Synapsis

NOOO problem
Just tell me which one you wanna race and I'll run ya anytime anyplace anywhere just for fun. I should warn ya that both my cars run in the 12's uncorrected, however my girlfriend camaro would be a good race for you guys. Its the "work in progress" car. 14.6@98mph corrected best so far. A built 350 is being dropped in place VERY soon though. Actually, maybe next weekend. Supreme Member

The other is that I have twice as much money in rear suspension mods as I do in the engine itself. Thread Starter

Okay guys, it seems this subject matter is waning. So let's have a show of hands:
1) Who's interested in racing at SIR on July 5th?
2) Who's interested in a cookout on July 6th?
If we can get a small group interested in #2, I'll be willing to host it again. Let me know what you can bring too.
I think it would be nice to have about half as many people as we did last time. Although it was awesome last time, with about half as many, we can all talk and get acquainted with each other.
We've got one week to plan this, so please respond soon!!
To 5SIZ, even though your graphic is really cool, don't you think you should put a pic of YOUR girlfriend on it????

I'll be in Vegas on both of those days trying to win money to a) buy a house and b) buy a 383 shortblock from GMPP.
I think the blowby is getting worse on my rings, so the Iroc is permanently off the track until further notice. But the VW is about 300 bucks away from being track worthy, so if you don't mind hanging out with some old kraut... I'll go to the track with you guys some other time.

Well, my Roc is going to Tucson Diff. about 10 in the morning (Tue). I will be out of town until Thursday and pick it up then, should be track ready by the 5th. I will be at the cookout for sure. I will bring the soda. Hope you guys like the Frys stuff! J/K
I am looking forward to meeting more of you guys.

Willie,
If I can get out of going to a wedding, I'll be able to go either days. My preference would be to have it on Saturday though. Either way, both days are fine with me.
