Welcome!
Although I've never heard of a Z-38, I'm not a Camaro expert. You would be best to post in the history and restoration board once you have the car and the RPO list from the console/locking rear glove box.

I didnt get a chance to go and take some tongiht, But i got some info on it.
"they made Z38's out of camaro's and somthing called a tarous or torinno or somthing weird like that out of transams, basically it is touched up 3rd gen F-body with a stiffer suspenion and a body kit, apprently they also had different gear ratios so they had a higher top speed(like 155 )"
And guys, Is it just me or is everyone over at 3rdgen.org a bunch of ****in ******?

this is all there is
What was the "Contempo" Camaro?:
Starting in early months of 1984, Contempo Vans of North Hollywood, California., began offering a custom-bodied Camaro. Major modifications included a fiberglass decklid with louvered wings, wheel flares, rocker extensions, 16-inch alloy wheels with high performance tires, plus a choice of paint schemes. Customers could order the components separately or as a Do It Your Self package. Another option for the customer would be fore the factory to do the work for them.

I have saw a Corvette once over while I was passing threw Garden Lakes area that some dude did a Ferrari Testarosa body conversion, I know that very few companys offer conversion kits for 3rd-4thG F-bodys if you like Euro-style, the doors pivot up
it's mostly fiber galss. Also i saw an ad a few times in either CHP or SuperChevy(in back of book) were the rear window was replaced with one similar to the Fiero and optioned was a high rear wing spoiler.

It looks like a VERY poor GTA wanna be! No wonder I've never seen it before!!
I saw the '70 at a car show years ago in California... I haven't seen another since though. I found this picture online, the only one I could find was on a model car website...
The one I saw was red, but it looked just like this. I don't know any more about it, other than it stuck in my mind because it looked so cool!
I'm afraid my info is just as vague as the other guys... sorry

from camarosource on CZ28.com:
Where did you get "Z38" from? We never said this was a "Z38" or is it any kind of GM Concept. This was only an aftermarket kit.
